The good: The HTC Droid Incredible 2 improves on its predecessor by adding world-roaming capabilities and a larger, sharper screen. The Android device has a solid construction and features an 8-megapixel camera with 720p HD video capture.
The bad: The smartphone lacks 4G support and isn't running the latest Android software.
The bottom line: Though the lack of some features is disappointing, the HTC Droid Incredible 2 is an improved device and a good choice for Verizon customers looking for a global smartphone.

Data operation is fine but voice quality is miserable.
by super-chicken on September 20, 2011
Pros: Nice display. Decent performance. Good camera.
Cons: Voice communication has very poor audio quality, almost unintelligible while trying to speak with other people. Marginal speaker audio quality too.

Summary: I have had this phone for several months now and have decided that I will never buy another HTC phone again. The voice quality while using the phone (as an actual PHONE) is terrible. The voices on the other end warble to a point that it is difficult to understand what the other person is saying. In the old tape and record days, this type of distortion would be called Wow and Flutter.
I waited to submit a review because I wanted to be sure that the poor voice quality was not due to a particular connection or hardware on the other end. However, I have been able to connect with a variety of phone models and brands, and in different locations and signal strengths. All calls have miserable voice quality. The distortion is not due to the earpiece speaker either. The distortion can be heard through the speaker on the phone and using headphones.
It seems that the designers must think that people only use the phone for texting, running apps, or surfing the internet. They apparently don't think that people use the phone to actually SPEAK to the other person anymore; and therefore, put no effort into the voice quality. My 6 year old LG flip phone has voice quality that is several orders of magnitude better than this HTC Incredible 2. Perhaps it is old fashion, but I still need a phone that I can talk (and listen) to the other person with.1 out of 1 users found this user opinion helpful.

Pros: Fast Fast Fast
Cons: Worth $199 but compared to Thunderbolt @ $249..... maybe $150-$175 would be a better price point

Pros: Virtual keyboard is easy to use. Lots of memory.
Cons: Can only delete one e-mail at a time.
Summary: Overall this is a great phone! The Incredible won over the iPhone for me because of the size of the screen and ease of use.

Does everything I need it to do.
by loganandgarrett1 on August 14, 2011
Pros: Screen size, touch screen never flaws, easy to navigate, never a dropped call... ever. Sleek black look, especially nice with a gloss black background. Battery stays up dramatically even when in constant use.
Cons: No 4G, low speaker. Has button for srs surround but cannot tell the difference. Not much of a manual for someone who has never used a Droid. Although having data plan for Verizon, have to upgrade to use their apps, like VZ Navigation, etc. That sux.
Summary: Overall, I love it. If they came out with a manual (if not already that I cannot find), that tells exactly what apps or running services do or do not ...

two problems already
by galaxed on August 9, 2011
Pros: I don't know enough about smartphones to say.
Cons: Two things: you cannot delete the mass of preinstalled apps that you don't want cluttering up your phone.
2. You cannot delete multiple emails at once. ONE AT A TIME.Summary: I'm just learning about smartphones period but these seem like ridiculous inefficiencies to me.

This is what an Android phone OUGHT to be! Screw iPhone
by scottjwagner on August 9, 2011
Pros: Many! Some of the multitude of options can seem daunting at first.
Cons: Not 4G big whoop. A trifle hard to see in bright sunlight, but far and away better than the P.O.S. that is the Motorola Droid.

Worthless piece of garbage
by GP18 on July 13, 2011
Pros: I've had issues with touch screens in the past, but this one works great.
Nice big screen with good resolution.
Camera takes good pics (sometimes it even saves them)Cons: Battery life (I half expected this, so no big deal)
Reception is horrible. This was a surprise. No signal what so ever in places where my previous phone had no issues. Yes, I did the PRL update.
camera will occasionally not save photos. Usually whenSummary: I give up. When this contract is up, I'm switching to that other carrier and getting an iPhone.
