- The HTC Evo 4G LTE is a worthy successor to Sprint's Evo family, as long as you remember one important caveat: until Sprint gets its LTE network off the ground, the Evo 4G LTE won't actually run 4G -- it will be 3G-only at first.

The good: Powerful parts, a lovely screen, stunning design, and an excellent camera help the Evo 4G LTE restoke the fires of the Evo faithful.
The bad: Given the 4G LTE in its name, the newest Evo's lack of Sprint LTE at launch is a huge letdown.
The bottom line: The HTC Evo 4G LTE is a worthy successor to Sprint's Evo family, as long as you remember one important caveat: until Sprint gets its LTE network off the ground, the Evo 4G LTE won't actually run 4G -- it will be 3G-only at first.

Not as great as they claim...
by KD_45 on September 17, 2012
Pros: Nice camera
Android Platform
Fast processorCons: Can't handle multi tasking, will just reboot
Camera noise cant shut off
Will hang in some apps that require your date such as twitter or internet until it asks if you want to report it but won't let you back in the appSummary: I have always been an HTC person from the Mogul to this new LTE Evo. Summary: I have always been an HTC person from the Mogul to this new LTE Evo. However this phone is worse than my original 4g Evo. I have had two replacements of this phone in one month. the first had a bad radio/antennae the second had unknown hardware issues in which the phone would reboot if sending texts frequently while on the phone. Also if the app is not working (twitter, internet, etc) you can't force close and expect to reopen the app, the app still wont work. I got the one of the first batches of this phone, maybe i should have waited because HTC just lost me.

Summary: I'm very happy with this product. I bought the white version and truly love it. *no finger prints as the black version* As for no 4g LTE, i can live with that.
For everyone complaining about the plastic top, its for the NFC chip; with the plastic it makes it more usable and reliable.
I'm not really a fan of Sence UI but this version isn't too bad; and doesn't use all of the resources like previous versions. As for Multitasking, its really bad, i had to set "Background process limit" to "At Most 4 Processes" to get some multitasking back.
I bought this phone so I can root it, and make it my own.
As for battery, I'm impressed, its lasting a long time, and once I root, it will last even longer. I don't have to worry about bringing my charger everywhere I go.
Using the camera is fun, but can be improved on the software part. I know its can offer more than what I'm getting out of it. Love how fast it is and that I can take up to 99 pictures in burst mode. It does great out side with normal lighting (like every other camera) but in low lighting or indoors it dose have some trouble. I compered it to my wife's Iphone 4s, and the iphone 4s tends to take better pictures over all... (i know sad) but i have gotten better pictuers than Iphone 4s plenty of times. *for me the camera isn't a deal breaker, as long as it takes decent pictuers and HD videos
Over all, i'm a happy camper! It was this or the SGS3, and the winning factor was the quality build and better radios. I'm truly an HTC fan, but not their sence UI. -

Summary: This has to be the best phone I have ever had. I tested the HTC One X and the Samsung SIII and they do not compare. The speed, reliability and call quality is awesome. Unfortunately Sprint's Tower updating has caused some outages people have blamed on the phone, but once the LTE network is up I doubt any phone will compete

Great phone and perfect workmate!
by guapodcole on June 15, 2012
Pros: Fast, super customizable, camera mode and dedicated shooting button, kickstand, Sprint's smart idea to put all of their bloatware in one app and letting the owners decide what they want (NBA, NASCAR, and Sprint TV for me!) Continued in summary...
Cons: Still trying to use Google Wallet, lack of coverage in (very) rural areas, not being able to use the camera button from standby
Summary: Other Pros: Overall design (it's a shame I have to use a case), the screen (seriously, that thing is as big as the body of my old phone), scary ...
Summary: Other Pros: Overall design (it's a shame I have to use a case), the screen (seriously, that thing is as big as the body of my old phone), scary smart (the screen turns on when I pull the phone away from my head!), I can finally take screen shots (!!!!)
Extra: Not a knock on the phone itself but 4G coverage would definitely be welcome, especially in places where the NBA and NASCAR have venues for "marketing purposes" (and not the fact that I live and work in both markets in Central Florida). -
The best (by FAR) phone on the market today
by refector on June 3, 2012
Pros: Fast to the point of my finger is still lifting off the button and Im allready at the page I clicked. GREAT camera. Shoots great pictures, and HD video. The new battery has been on 18 hours without a charge...one phone call...LOTS of web!
Cons: Of the phone...I have none.
Summary: I have been waiting for something as good as my original EVO, and this blows it out of the water...way to go HTC & Sprint

I am in LOVE with this phone....
by rthomas7142 on May 27, 2012
Pros: Speed, takes great photos, lite weight, and so Sexy(Pretty)....I would advise you to run out and get a CASE quickly.
Cons: The only downfall is no 4G LTE yet...so actually without WiFi you're actually using 3G network which is SLOW.

Worth all the delays
by Doccruz on May 26, 2012
Pros: I love how its thinner, brighter, faster. HTC got this EVO right. I have been an EVO owner since day one.
Cons: No way to buy additional battery. I will just have to wait and see how this battery holds up. On original EVO I went through numerous batteries in 2 years, can this one hold up?
Summary: Large screen with many upgrades.
