The good: The HTC One S manages to pack Android ICS, Sense 4, and a feature-filled camera into one of the slimmest phones on the market.
The bad: The One S' svelteness comes at the cost of no SD card expansion slot or removable battery.

Nice phone IF there was not that VERY SERIOUS BUG
by ipefix on October 12, 2012

The phone will then switch homescreen/multiple screen view on its own in very quick succession, and disable all the capacitive buttons. It will keep doing this until you find a spot where the signal is better (if you're lucky). In the meantime, you will not be able to do anything at all: call, pick-up, use apps, whatever. Basically, you then completely loose control over your phone.
This issue has been reported to HTC by many users SINCE APRIL 2012, but no patch or update has been released yet as to (successfully) address the problem. So keep this in mind if you want to purchase this device... You have been warned.
I also highly doubt there will ever be a software-fix that will adress this adequately as there had already been three attempted fixes which failed to cure most if not all devices.

Summary: This is the most honest opinion you're going to see. I've had every major phone for the last 2 years, every major carrier. This is premium compared to what T-Mobile has to offer. Thinness and weight are superb. However, it still seemed to disappoint me. The internet was slower than both the GS2 and Amaze...even the Sensation, The speaker use for phone and music was low and subpar, and it feels ok, but fragile. For a premium flagship phone, it's great, but not the Razr for Verizon, or the iPhone for AT&T (face it, they suck and their Apple's Slave). I was expecting a bulked up super phone with a combination of Thunderbolt, Sensationa and Rezound combined! I got a very soupped up Sensation instead.
I've spent more time with the One S and it's an AMZING phone! I take back the negative things I spoke of before. The expandable memory was fixed with my further knowledge of the Dropbox access. Love this phone and HIGHLY Recommend it!

Sports the fastest Mobile processor in the World!
by mkutsen on April 19, 2012
Pros: The most advanced Mobile processor in the world at the moment -- Qualcom Krait S4
Cons: Lower resolution screen than the At&t's HTC One X and the Sprint's Evo 3D LTE

Seems to be a trade off between Lower res screen vs. longer battery life when compared to the other two top mobile devices coming out (HTC One X for AT&t and HTC Evo 4G LTE for Spring).
I would imagine the end user cares about the overall processor performance and perhaps BATTERY DRAIN rather than the number of cores? The only applications where Tegra 3 has a significant edge are 3D games. I personally don't know anybody who plays 3D games on their phone. In every other application S4 OUTPERFORMS Tegra 3.1 out of 4 users found this user opinion helpful.

Do not buy this phone!

Summary: This was the second, and final HTC product I will ever purchase. To date the phone battery drains within three to four hours, it must reload software after each and every operation. It will not do any operation more than once without returning to the Home screen. Switchse carryiers without notice, hence causing roaming charges.
The contols are very poorly designe. One must hunt to find anything and perform any and all operations. It seems not possible to set up a separate power control widget. One must always go to the Settings page to do this. This phones are counter intuitive. The phone is overly slow, unreliable, and a major power hog.
With regards to the camera function. It is very difficult to determine if you are in picture mode, or video mode. I have found it to be a total wasts of money and time. DO NOT waste your time or money on this piece of junk!0 out of 2 users found this user opinion helpful.
