The good: The HTC One S manages to pack Android ICS, Sense 4, and a feature-filled camera into one of the slimmest phones on the market.
The bad: The One S' svelteness comes at the cost of no SD card expansion slot or removable battery.
The bottom line: The HTC One S is the best phone you can get on T-Mobile (for now), wrapping Android 4.0, 4G data speeds, and a beautiful 4.3-inch AMOLED screen into one svelte package.

Summary: Clearly half the people writing reviews haven't even seen this phone in person. Whining like "oh there isn't anything insanely different" etc. is irrelevant and sounds like the summary of a kindergartener who is simply trying to vote down the score. The simple fact is that this is a beautifully made, very fast, svelte phone with a brilliant camera. Highly recommended. HTC know what they're doing and create unique, high-quality devices in a sea of copycats and plastic phones.

Best Android phone money can buy

Cons: HTC could have a docking station.

Summary: Apple computers move over. There's a new cell phone in town. I like this phone better than the HTC One X because of its 2000 mAmp replaceable battery. To me, this is the greatest improvement to compete against Samsung phones battery life
The 2000 mAmp battery is replaceable on the HTC Evo 4G LTE. However, it isn't replaceable on the HTC One X. The specs are

The phone will then switch homescreen/multiple screen view on its own in very quick succession, and disable all the capacitive buttons. It will keep doing this until you find a spot where the signal is better (if you're lucky). In the meantime, you will not be able to do anything at all: call, pick-up, use apps, whatever. Basically, you then completely loose control over your phone.
This issue has been reported to HTC by many users FOR SEVERAL MONTHS NOW, but no patch or update has been released yet as to address the problem. So keep this in mind if you want to purchase this device... You have been warned.
Various threads on XDA forum are currently discussing this issue, gathering testimonies from hundreds of users and organizing a communication campaign to inform the masses. Don't forget to check them out before you invest in this phone:
Discussion thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1679649
Campaign thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=31609784
From those threads (see them as a hub) you find more links to more information and also threads in other languages in other forums.
This issue is not just haunting a few, it's pretty widespread! Otherwise I WOULD NOT LEAVE SUCH A BAD RATING. THE PHONE IS APART FROM THIS AN ABSLOLUTE DREAM!1 out of 2 users found this user opinion helpful.

When this happens, the home button keeps getting pressed randomly sometimes a few times per seconds and it can lasts for minutes. It is impossible to turn off the phone...
I had been in situations where I can not even terminate a call and end up being connected for many long minutes without been able to do anything about it.
HTC sent me a replacement which is having the same issue. I know that many other HTC One S users are experiencing the same issue.
Think twice before buying this phone.1 out of 2 users found this user opinion helpful.

Would deserve 4 stars if not plagued by homescreen bug
by tomsgate101 on September 9, 2012
Pros: Design, weight
Look and feel: nice to hold, perfect size
Snappiness: really fast, no lag
Sense IU 4.1, a nice addition to ICS 4.0.4
32GB internal memory
Very nice screen
Good cameraCons: Homescreen bug: ruins the experience (see comment)
Battery life is poor, not replacable
No microSD slot
Signal reception is average at best
Charger cable is ridiculously short. Come on, reduce production costs elsewhere!Summary: Generally a nice device, but be aware that hundreds of users, including myself, are experiencing a SERIOUS ISSUE whenever carrier signal is weak: The capacitive Home Touch Button sometimes likes ...
Summary: Generally a nice device, but be aware that hundreds of users, including myself, are experiencing a SERIOUS ISSUE whenever carrier signal is weak: The capacitive Home Touch Button sometimes likes to press itself. When in an app or the home screen without or with the finger near the home button it seems to spaz out as if the home button gets pressed a few quick times in succession.
Basically, you then completely loose control over your phone. Just google "HTC one S touch button issue" and you'll see many times many posts about it.
This issue has been reported to HTC by many users for several months now, but no patch or update has been released now as to address the problem. So keep this in mind if you want to purchase this device... You have been warned.
HTC, please take position and FIX THIS ISSUE! Thank you...1 out of 2 users found this user opinion helpful.
