HTC One X - black (unlocked) price range: $382.79 - $680.00

The good: Packing all the latest bells and whistles such as quad-core processing, Android Ice Cream Sandwich, and an excellent camera, the HTC One X is one tempting piece of hardware.
The bad: Top-shelf components and a massive 4.7-inch screen take a toll on this pricey superphone's battery life.
The bottom line: If you've been dreaming of a wonderfully powerful Android 4.0 smartphone boasting everything but the kitchen sink and don't live in the U.S., the globally available HTC One X could have your name on it.

The HTRC-1 is a great phone, except for the shut down.
by jackfrost38063 on February 13, 2013
Pros: Lightweight, easy to use, reliable, and fast.
Cons: Wants to suddenly shut down, and restart, without prompt, or warning.
Summary: This would be a great phone, if it were not for the shut down problem. I really like the operation, speed, and reliability, if it weren't for this problem.

Sacrifice 2-3mm slimness bragging rights vs batt pwr?
by craig.knapp1 on May 18, 2012
Pros: Great speed, great camera with built-in Panorama alignment assist mode, many great APPS available for photo editing, calendars with reminders, tasks lists etc.
Cons: Why in the H3LL would HTC sacrifice 2-3mm of thickness in exchange for double the battery life, just to have bragging rights on thinness? Did I mention POOR BATTERY LIFE? Yes I am using a power management APP, only checking E-Mail every 30 minutes.

Did I mention poor battery life? HTC should have conceded on the thickness of the phone by 2-3mm to get what I guess would be a 2-x increase in battery life. -
Best HTC phone ever
by Rythex on April 17, 2012
Pros: Really slim design with special processed case and screen, camera works great and the smoothness of the system is 95% close to iphone.
Had this phone on pre-order and received on 2nd April, my first impression is the handling of the phone is really niceCons: Short battery life, can't change the battery.
There are some yellow tint issues on the phone.
signal is bit weaker than my old iphone.Summary: Although this phone isn't that great but still worth a 5 star for me, due to the fact that HTC sense 4.0 is really nice and easy to ...
Summary: Although this phone isn't that great but still worth a 5 star for me, due to the fact that HTC sense 4.0 is really nice and easy to use from ex-iphone user perspective, also the camera is really top at the smart phone market.

Summary: I've used HTC handsets ever since the Touch Diamond (Windows Mobile platform). From then, the company has gone from strength to strength, making faster, smoother, more elegant handsets with feature sets to boast.
I've upgraded from a Sensation to the One X. Well... personally, the best handset since the Nokia 5110 (BIG call). HTC seem to have worked extremely hard addressing the issues with previous handsets - specifically battery life, audio quality and camera quality. I'm a heavy user, and at best I'd get a day out of the Sensation's battery... the One X I'm easily obtaining two days.
Audio is also markedly improved, nice, rich, clear audio from both the earpiece and the speaker. The camera has also been an Achilles heel for HTC - not anymore. The Sensation was my first HTC with a decent camera, and the One X trumps it with an SLR feature whilst still being superb in terms of quality.
I'm in a rural area, and on Optus HSDPA900 I'm currently experiencing downlink speeds in excess of 4Mbps, the raw grunt of the handset ensures any hitch is the fault of the network and not the unit. The user interface has been modified considerably with ICS, and even more user friendly than before.
In all seriousness, this handset is the epitome of perfection from HTC. Provided they can maintain production, Samsung had better be checking their rear view mirrors very closely for a dedicated and tenacious Taiwanese competitor! -
An absolute masterpiece
by TechyFertler on April 16, 2012
Pros: 1. Screen - HD and beautiful clarity
2. Speed - Opens apps instantly and no lag when switching between them
3. Camera - not a 'camera' phone but there is no compromise - wow
4. Sound - loud speaker is clear and no distortion, phone calls are clearCons: only one - BATTERY LIFE
I am using 'Easy Battery Saver' and has extended the battery life by 60%
The high quality big screen is what takes most of the power. i have the brightness set to minimum and that is still bright enough for the office.Summary: My last HTC phone was the Kaiser - not that long ago. simply mind blowing how technology has moved on.

So I have to say that this is a truly inspirational phone, I used to be against the idea of a built in battery, but the shear elegance of this phone has won me over.
I got it in white and I am so glad i did - had too many black phones. hard to think i have quad-core in my hand. faster than my old laptop (which i still have).
just 2 openings - micro usb and headphones.
LED flash is bright and powerful.
ICS 4.0.3 and sense 4.0 work well. don't see the need in rooting it.
the camera and screen really work perfectly together, the colours come out so good i think i might print a picture on canvas and put it on my wall at home.
The phone supports DLNA and picks up my media server and streams video over Wifi. 802.11n.
Thank you HTC and well done
i am 100% happy -

Graphic;Cons: A bit too big for a palm size usage, battery dried off a bit fast while running few games.
Summary: Superb phone, guess all the phone with similar (big screen) function do eat up the battery usage..
Camera and photo was mesmerizing although 1080p would be great..guess the engineers ...Summary: Superb phone, guess all the phone with similar (big screen) function do eat up the battery usage..
Camera and photo was mesmerizing although 1080p would be great..guess the engineers figure it out that 720p produce better result for the size.. -
