The good: The futuristically-styled $199.99 HTC One X offers Android fans on AT&T plenty to like, such as a massive, bright 4.7-inch screen, blazing 4G LTE data speeds, a powerful camera, and zippy performance running Ice Cream Sandwich and Sense 4.
The bad: Sadly, HTC One X owners can't claim quad-core bragging rights. Also, the nonremovable battery and lack of SD card slot weaken an otherwise incredible Android smartphone.
The bottom line: Quad-core processing isn't everything, and AT&T's new $199.99 HTC One X proves it. This advanced Android has style, speed, blazing 4G, and power galore.

Best android phone on the market

- Very snappy

Summary: This is one of the best phone in the market today. I have used iPhones since 2007 but, switched to HTC One X due to its superior design and large screen size. I was skeptical about this phone but was a convert only after a week using it. LTE on ATT is screaming fast - usually 15 mbps indoors and up to 50 mbps outdoors download speeds. The battery easily lasts full day of usage and the screen is just gorgeous. The screen is better than the retina display on iPhones in terms of viewing angles and color gamut. Photos and videos look very natural.

HTC One X is Underrated

Pros: Super fast camera
Great display
Very quick

Summary: I was nervous about purchasing another HTC phone after my experience with the Inspire 4G. The Inspire is a fat, heavy phone with horrible battery life. No matter where I went, I could not be too far away from a charger.
Present. The One X has decent battery life. Not bad, not great. It does charge up fast though.
The first thing that attracted me to the One X was the camera. UNREAL. The camera is extremely fast. Burst mode makes sure you don't miss the right shot.
The dual core processor is very fast. I can't imagine what I'm missing from the quad. With the graphic intensive games I play, the phone doesn't skip or crash. Although it can take a minute to close them.
HTC Sense is much improved over previous versions. Still much better than TouchWiz. I can't believe I'm saying this but I actually prefer Sense over the launchers I normally use.
The antenna is very good as well. I stream MOG at the gym, where coverage is spotty, and I never lose signal. I have not dropped one call since I've had the phone. With the Inspire, I couldn't hold on to a call.
A lot of sites are putting down the One X for the Galaxy S3. Mostly over differences that most users will never notice. Try it for yourself and decide. Don't rely on irrelevant stats and nitpicking.5 out of 5 users found this user opinion helpful.

Top of the line phone...totally puts Apple to Shame.
by Captain_FSU on June 5, 2012
Pros: The screen is absolutely incredible, Beats audio makes a huge difference in quality of sound, and even without the quad-core processor the HTC One X zips through everything...everything! And almost forgot fabulous camera.
Cons: I had an LTE issue two weeks after receiving the phone in early May, that I think was caused by a faulty update. I had to do a factory reset to fit it. Also lacks sd card slot.
Summary: I have small hands, which is why my first smartphone was the HTC Aria (3.2'' screen), and while I loved that phone for me to get the power I ...
Summary: I have small hands, which is why my first smartphone was the HTC Aria (3.2'' screen), and while I loved that phone for me to get the power I needed I had to root and overclocked it to 800mhz...otherwise known as the speed iPhone's run at because Apple underclocks them. My Aria lasted me two years until I saw that I had an upgrade option and made a jump for the HTC One X.
Like I said above I have undersized hands but even with my small hands the HTC One X feel fine; because the phone is light, extremely thin and curve so the phone kind of fits int the palm of your hand. Your fingers can easily reach most areas of the screen and if you can't it is easy to shift the phone in your hand to reach it.
My one hesitation before getting the phone was the lack of the SD Card Slot, but this was quickly forgotten because when you get One X you also get 25 GB of free storage with dropbox (which can stream videos!) on top of the 16 GB in the phone that is a total of 41 GB of space!
The One X's camera is great, vibrant colors and good contrast. Like I said before the One X is extremely zippy with its dual core 1.5 ghz processor, and if you're in an LTE area you'll consistently get 20-40 Mbps download and 15-25 Mbps upload, both great numbers. HTC Sense 4.0 is good very subtle and make the phone look better; I find that HTC Sense is the best User Interface and I think I it will help new Android users get more accustomed to the Operating System rather then the standard Ice Cream Sandwich interface.
The screen is very retina like with a 312 pixels per inch and that is on top of the display being "HD" 1280/720p and the pictures and videos look extraordinary. I have watched Black Swan streaming from Dropbox and Battlestar Galactica from Netflix and they looked awesome. The Beats Audio enhancer which a was at first skeptical about, thinking that it would just create a lot of bass but instead it made the audio crisp and clear, a must have for people who use their phone as an MP3 player.
Concluding, I do have to admit that this will not be the best phone this year their is the Samsung Galaxy S III with its slightly bigger screen, SD card slot and 2 GB of ram. Then there is Motorola Droid RAZR Fighter with a 720p display, huge battery, Ice Cream Sandwich, and 1.8 Ghz dual core processor. That being said the HTC One X can throw its weight around really well and looks awesome doing it. The One X will be one of the best phones of the year, easily in the top 5. Its going to be interesting how Apple tries to compete with the litany of awesome Android phones coming out this year...just having a bigger screen is not going to cut it because Android is starting to pull away.

The first non-Apple device to hold the crown
by DRubenW on June 6, 2012
Pros: Flexibility of Android
App stores have a better user experience than iTunes or App Store
HTC Sense and Widgets are beautiful and intuitive
Guerilla glass, although not a retina display, will maintain and last longer
Onboard camera filters and editingCons: Sleep + Power button a little small and out of reach compared to the iPhone
Despite megapixels and onboard sensor, many pictures come out too warm and focus is hit or miss
SwiftKey or native keyboard isn't as efficient or intuitive yet for me as iOSSummary: Great phone. Still testing but am falling for Android. The phone is the most beautifully designed on the market, feels great, is fast and has many features that are nice ...
Summary: Great phone. Still testing but am falling for Android. The phone is the most beautifully designed on the market, feels great, is fast and has many features that are nice surprises on normal apps and for enterprise use. After using every iPhone ever made except the 4s, I don't think I'll regret the switch. The only thing I'll miss are the few apps that launch only to iOS and some of the other things I got used to after being on the same OS ecosystem (tablet, laptop, desktop and phone) for over 5 years.

Summary: LOVED this phone. Used it for nearly 2 weeks. Only real complaint is that it's just too big. I have big hands and feel it's still too big. I know everyone is on this HUGE screen kick, but there is just too many downsides to a big phone. I went back to my iPhone 4S. There are many advantages to ICS, but there is too much Android (hardware market) emphasis on making bigger and bigger screens. The iPhone 4S, while a lot smaller, is a perfect ergonomic size.

Summary: HTC has been terrible to me. The entire evo line up, the aria, the infuse. I think HTC got it right this time. The phone is awesome. I am more of an iPhone guy, but this blows the 5 out of the water. My choice came down to S3, iPhone 5 and this. I went with this! LOVE LOVE LOVE IT

Summary: Ok Ive owned A LOT of phones . I buy them locally and sell them on ebay just to make a few dollars. I've used most every att phone personally. Bar none the HTC ONE X is the best phone i've ever used. To me the only other phone worthwhile is the S3 and I would only take it if i HAD TO HAVE more storage or a bigger battery/ swappable battery.

Tne Htc One X vs iPhone 4s

The iPhone 4s the king of smartphones but who is this new knight the Htc One X. The king with a 8 megapixel shooter, retina display, iOS 5, and his new sword Siri. But this knight has some weapons of his own coming with 8 megapixel camera, 1080p video recording, 720 p hd screen, and his sword ice cream sandwich and Htc Sense 4.0. Who will win who will die and will this new knight become the new king or will the king continue his legacy. Time to find out.
Hardware
The iPhone 4s has a 3.5 inch screen and is overpowered by the One X's bulging 4.7 inch screen. But it really isn't that much bigger than 4.3 inch screen phones and compared to the iPhone it is taller and skinner instead of shorter and thicker. The iPhone's speed is run by an A5 1 gigahertz dual core processor and a GB of RAM. On the other hand the One X's has a very snappy and quick 1.5 gigahertz Qualcomm Snapdragon s4 dual core processor and also comes with 1 GB of RAM.
Winner: Htc One X
Due to it's very snappy dual core processor
Display
The iPhone 4s with very shiny armor due to its retina display coming out with 326 ppi while the Htc One X's armor isn't as shiny but comes a Super LCD Panel 2 and 720 p hd screen though only comes out with 316 ppi though it can pack a punch with gorilla glass that can withstand 100 pounds of force but the iPhone has a ***** in his armor because it's made of glass so one drop and you can say goodbye.
Winner: iPhone 4s
Due to its amazing Retina Display.
Camera
Eyesight and quick reflexives are a huge part of battles and both phones come with a jab of its own. The iPhone comes with an outstanding 8 megapixel camera with a f/2.4 auto focus lens that lets plenty of light in and comes with 1080p hd recording but the Htc One X also comes with a 8 megapixel camera but has a f/2.0 auto focus lens that lets even more light in than the iPhone's shooter. The One X also comes with 1080 p hd recording. The One X is probably hoping for the battle at night because his eyesight lets more light in.
Winner: Htc One X
Due to its amazing auto focus lens and 8 megapixel camera.
Software
The iPhone has iOS 5 but still lacks in widgets and personalizing. Compared to Htc Sense 4 and Ice Cream Sandwich it's a wooden bat to a sword but it makes that up with Siri your digital assistant. You can send text or call someone with just your voice but the best thing of all is that you can have random talks with her like if you say hi then Siri says hi back.
Winner: Htc One X
Even though the iPhone has Siri it's more like a toy than a tool and the One X has a great software interface.
Look and feel
The coat of arms if usually on the shield and it's no different here. The iPhone is made out of glass and metal on the side with the volume rocker and the mute on the left side. The One X on the other side is made out of polycarbonate matte on the back and glossy on the side. The volume rocker is on the left side.
Winner iPhone 4s
Even though it's smaller it feels nice in the hand.
Performance and Battery Life
The One X has speeding fast 4g lte compared to the pony of 3G speeds of the iPhone and the battery life on the One X is outstanding but the iPhone simply out performs it because the screen isn't as bright and doesn't have 4g lte.
Winner: Htc One X
4g lte is hard to keep up with it and even though the battery life it is no match if you live in lte market.
If you have been using a prepaid phone you should go with the iPhone 4s due to its simple interface but if you already have had a smartphone you should go with the Htc One X. So the knight lives up to the challenge and the king falls after so many great battles but has a son soon to challenge anybody in it's way the iPhone 5.2 out of 4 users found this user opinion helpful.

Lots of bells and whistles, but just as many bugs.
by jonnywolfe on May 4, 2013
Pros: Large screen, good resolution, quick processor, slim body.
Cons: No external camera button! Very shaky camera focusing and horrible colors in the camera (every face is very red). RANDOMLY LOSES ALL CHARGE AND TURNS OFF! SIM card randomly loses connection with the phone and must be rebooted. Worst SWYPE ever!
Summary: Overall, not worth it. I've always had Samsungs and didn't want to just get the Galaxy S3, so I decided to try out HTC's flagship phone. I ...
Summary: Overall, not worth it. I've always had Samsungs and didn't want to just get the Galaxy S3, so I decided to try out HTC's flagship phone. I wish I hadn't. But, then again, Samsungs have horrible longevity. I look forward to the day in the future when Smartphones are actually a good-working whole package and they don't rush through development and leave so many damn bugs in every phone. If that day ever comes...
