The bad: The smartphone doesn't offer much internal memory, and the phone's speakers are pretty weak.

Best mobile phone ever

Summary: I spent several months researching smart phones. I had cut my choices to 4, They were all great phones, but each lacked one or two features I liked. Then the Sensation came out with everything I wanted and more.
For example I had marginal signal in my home, When I asked Verizon about they said I could buy a $200 wifi adapter to get great signal strength in my home. The sensation has wifi calling built in and I have configured it to automatically use my wifi (58 GH Fios) when my signal strength is low.
Everyones needs are different but for now and for me, this is the best phone available.8 out of 9 users found this user opinion helpful.

Great Phone. Best Android I've Ever Used.
by mikegor18 on June 13, 2011
Pros: Nice Screen, Beautiful Design, Good Camera, HTC sense is absolutely gorgeous.
Cons: My on con so far is that the volume rocker is connected to the aluminum unibody shell not the phone itself, which makes it feel a little bit delicate, and it rattles around. Not a big deal but a little annoyance.
Summary: Overall the phone lives up to its name and is sensational. I love the lock screen, and all of the sense widgets. The sense UI was basically the reason I ...
Summary: Overall the phone lives up to its name and is sensational. I love the lock screen, and all of the sense widgets. The sense UI was basically the reason I got the phone. It is the most polished UI for any android phone. Sense actually makes the phone easier to use and just looks better then stock android. (BTW I still do really like stock android). I'm a little bummed about the locked bootloader, but by the time Gingerbread is out of date hopefully HTC will have unlocked the bootloader with an update.
Also just a note, so far I haven't had any death grip problems with the Sensation.
I haven't had an abundant amount of time with the phone so I don't have a comment on battery life, but I can say so far it is holding up pretty good even with extended plants vs zombies action. Gaming is really good on this phone. I also don't think the speakers are that terrible, I mean nothing extraordinary, but not to bad.
So, in conclusion the HTC Sensation is an outstanding phone, and in my opinion the best smartphone available in the US at the time. Anyone who is looking for a smartphone on tmobile should definitely take a good long look at the Sensation.

Pros: -built with quality materials.
-Dual-core 1.2Ghz proc.
-Phone calls sound land-line good when full signal.
-4G Hotspot is insanely fast and a nice/easy feature.
- HTC Sense (Easy, quick access to apps from lock screen). I quickly missed it.Cons: - battery life not all that great when handset is frequently used.
- not quite the level of access to (all) the apps apple has.
- not as many consumer products are synced to android yet (car audio systems).Summary: I would have kept this phone for a long time if I didn't have to switch carriers for better coverage where I work. It is an amazing phone. The ...
Summary: I would have kept this phone for a long time if I didn't have to switch carriers for better coverage where I work. It is an amazing phone. The iPhone 4 is so different its a shame to say this, but I would take a HTC Sensation over iPhone any day (and I have been an apple man for five years or so now).

The most amazing phone I've had on T-Mobile!
by MrDubblup on June 15, 2011
Pros: Amazing screen resolution, innovative interface, Gingerbread, HTC Sense 3 is great, the customizability of the phone is top-notch!
Cons: Speaker phone isn't loud enough, limited memory, slight lag in execution of certain tasks

Summary: I am an admitted gizmo junkie, and with that said, this is the most amazing phone I've owned for T-Mobile! I have been waiting for this phone for quite some time now, and it was well worth the wait. I've been stuck with the wretched Samsung Galaxy S 4G for about a month now, and this is a very pleasant upgrade. The interface, first of all, is amazingly user-friendly. I'll admit, I was a bit skeptical about the HTC Sense 3.0, but it is fantastic. The phone is just fun. The speakers on this phone are one of its drawbacks... after using a bluetooth for so long (and losing many in the process), I HATE putting my ear to the phone. I rely heavily on speakerphone and it let me down in that department; Just not loud enough. The memory on the phone leaves much to be desired as well. I have been getting "Low Memory" alerts already, but no residual effects.
I found several apps that allow you to "kill" certain memory-draining tasks to at least keep the memory issue in check... and this rubber case I found really helps with the power button and volume slider issues. Just wish it had a stand on it, but what ever... and the battery life on this device is the best I have ever seen!
As a whole, this phone is among T-mobile's top tier. Groovy design, beautiful screen and simple interface make it great for novice smartphoners, while its cusomizable features and Android 2.3 almost put it in the ring with the Evo 3D... it may even stand a fighting chance... The HTC Sensation 4G is the greatest T-Mobile smartphone currently available!

If Tmobile is your carrier tis is the phone to have.
by samsclubmobile on June 20, 2011
Pros: Fast Processor. Slim good looking profile w/large screen. HTC sense 3.0 interface works great, looks beautiful and is easy to use. Great Call quality. Great speaker quality.
Cons: Phone got hot when playing games on the highest screen brightness. may be a defect with my particular handset as this problem was not reported in any other reviews. HTC could have added more features to take advantage of the 8 megapixel camera.

Summary: This phone is the best handset I have owned to date, having previously owned the evo, the iphone 4 and the tmobile g2. Sense 3.0 is by far my favorite UI as it looks quite impressive and brings you your information quicker. (scrollable widgets and email previews are a plus) I payed 175 for this phone at sams club but would have been willing to pay as much as 300 for it due to the quality of this first rate cell phone. Its hard to ensure an informed review having had this phone for only 4 days but so far what I have seen I have been quite impressed with. I am amazed that cnet still doesn't review this phone higher than the verizon iphone leading me to believe that user reviews are far more reliable than those of the experts.

Pros: Wonderful design absolutely loved the phone, good battery life.
Cons: T mobile, their service where I live is not great. Asking me if I wanted to switch to WiFi Phone service every time it sensed a WiFi and still counts minutes used against my monthly plan - deal breaker.

Great phone out of a limited T-Mobile selection
by Graylinshowell on August 28, 2011
Pros: I like the look and feel. It only seems to lag when I'm using too much or when I'm accessing mobile net without a good signal. Durable as well for a clumsy oaf like myself.
Cons: The only real drawback I've experienced is a few select apps don't have compatibility built in for this model as of yet. That's to be expected with newer phones, but it's been released 4 months now, two on my network. Hope to see upgrades soon.
Summary: All in all, I feel like most of the drawbacks to this phone aren't really issues with the phone itself, but rather the network and developers. It handles pretty ...
Summary: All in all, I feel like most of the drawbacks to this phone aren't really issues with the phone itself, but rather the network and developers. It handles pretty much anything I've thrown at it otherwise and is a great option if you're a T-Mobile subscriber. I'd say there isn't much competition.
