HTC Touch Pro2 price range: $110.99 - $159.99

The good: The HTC Touch Pro2 features a sharp, spacious touch screen and an easy-to-use full QWERTY keyboard. The Windows Mobile smartphone also includes conference call management tools for business users and offers good call quality. It also has Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and GPS.
The bad: The smartphone is heavy and bulky. No U.S. 3G support on this version and it's expensive. Onboard memory is low, and we would have liked an upgraded camera.
The bottom line: With a feature set to match its large size, the HTC Touch Pro2 will be a great device for power and business users once it finally hits North America and adds U.S. 3G support.

Wish I could get rid of this phone.

Pros: ~Great screen size
~Clear screen display
~Good sound
~Lots of great functions that would be useful, if they worked.Cons: ~Operating system freezes ALL THE TIME.

1. LOTS of freezing when changing applications or ending a certain task.
2. The message icon shows I have new messages when I have none.
3. The screen often refuses to react to touch, it freezes as if it's in the middle of what you asked it to do, but it hasn't changed from the home screen.
4. 4 days ago the alarm function stopped working
5. This morning the volume button stopped working.
6. This afternoon I noticed that the time that is displayed on the screen when the phone is "locked" is 14 hours off the actual time. When the phone is "unlocked' the time displayed is correct.
All in all this is a horrible phone. I could bring it back to Sprint and exchange it for another but that's the last thing I want to do. Tonight I reactivated my LG Lotus and weven though I don't have half the fundtions the Touch Pro 2 has, it's nice to have a phone that's working. I would discourage anyone from purchasing this phone. -

Good idea, bad product

Summary: Everyone who rates this phone highly must have either reviewed it in the first week or works for HTC. When I wrote my first lengthy email I was sold, the keyboard is by far the best I have ever used in a phone or PDA.
Then come the bugs, it stops being great when you've had to do a hard reset for the 3rd time in one day. The glitches and hangs alone have this thing heading for the sofa cushions on a regular basis. If you think this thing is slow generally, try playing music. I bought a 16GB micro SD which I half filled with music. This slowed the phone down to a snail's pace.
Settings adjustments are complicated to navigate and the help menu is not so helpful.
I read here that one reviewer considers this an iPhone killer. They must be on crack, I've had both and the iPhone wins in almost every situation. Back to the iPhone for me, this has been an expensive experiement. -
Worst phone I have ever used!

Summary: Not user friendly. Got it for my wife and I took it to learn it and teach her. It was the HARDEST phone I have ever tried to use. Even just setting a pic as your wallpaper was a MAJOR task. Its not android so apps are VERY limited. Home screen is cluttered and not very customizable. By far the worst phone I have ever tested.

Currently on my 4th HTC Touch Pro Device.
by frawlsu1 on November 3, 2010
Pros: HTC Touch Pro 2, keyboard slides out easily
volume during phone calls good
Camera does well
Like micro SD card optionCons: Device locks up frequently-no matter what you are trying to do.
OS is not easy to use
Downloading apps, not very easy
Have to scroll through the phone book to find contact you want

Summary: I got my first HTC Touch in Feb 2009, after 3-4 months, the phone began locking up. i have insurance on the phone and Sprint replaced it. The new phone began locking up after 3-4 months. Replaced with the HTC Touch Pro 2, same problems and now with my 4th phone replacement --same problems.
There is no consistency to when or in what application it will lock up. Answering a call, placing a call, texting, increasing the volume, checking weather then home screen, the only way to fix it is to turn the device off/on or do a hard reset. All software is updated. My experience is consistent with this product and Sprint not willing to let me change devices at no cost is frustrating.
For the price of this phone, research all options before purchasing this one. -

Summary: I have this phone and in 3.5 months. One day I was coming home from grad school and I was using the wired hands-free set that I got with the mongul which is also by HTC. The tiny black piece that is in the usb came out with the hands-free set and I never noticed it until I got home and was trying to charge the phone. Called HTC and they told me to send it in because it is covered under the warranty. 2-3 weeks later they want 280.00 for repairing it. I confirmed it 3 time to three different people and they all said it would be covered. This is my last product I will ever buy from HTC. Please DO NOT BUY UNLESS YOU ARE RICH AND HAVE MONEY TO SPEND ON REPAIRS OR BUYING A NEW PHONE.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

HTC problems and sprint act like they dont have a clue.
by Biganto on October 5, 2010
Pros: It is good with email when its working but the speaker clarity sucks .
Cons: This phone sucks after a few months the phone freeze every time it goes off. The only to fix that is with a hard reset. I had a different 0ne every week for the past 4 weeks.
Summary: If you are planning to buy a phone don't buy HTC PRO 2 OR HD2 because they have the same problems.
