The good: The LG Spectrum has fast LTE speeds, a dual-core processor, Android 2.3, and lots of HD video features, including a stellar 4.5-inch HD display.
The bad: Call quality and camera quality are inconsistent, and the Spectrum's interface can be cumbersome at times.
The bottom line: The LG Spectrum's clean design brings preppy style to some of the fastest 4G LTE data speeds around. The smartphone's attention to HD is admirable, but a few interface and performance flaws could scare away some.

Perfect for moderate usage; unbeatable display.
by tculkin on May 1, 2012
Pros: Spectacular large display, very light and thin, responsive to the touch, and inexpensive. With moderate use, battery lasts 12 hours.
4G speed faster than my 21 MB cable source.Cons: Plastic back shows fingerprints (completely overcome by using an after-market skin).
If used extensively, battery will be exhausted in 6 hours.Summary: I read all the cons before my purchase, yet the attractiveness of the display outweighed them all and, after 2 weeks daily use, none of the cons were found to ...

A HUGE step up from a Droid Pro!
by MrSkary on April 15, 2012
Pros: Processor speed, 4G LTE connectivity, gorgeous HD screen, lightweight, clean looks.
Cons: Battery is not incredible (better than what I'm used to though), a lot of apps/movies/video aren't ready for the big 16X9 HD screen.
Summary: Got two for one special (one for me, one for the Mrs.) at Verizon ($199) and then got $100 off of THAT for this being my first 4G phone. So, ...
Summary: Got two for one special (one for me, one for the Mrs.) at Verizon ($199) and then got $100 off of THAT for this being my first 4G phone. So, two of these phones for $99 are you kidding? What a deal. The experience is a 1000% improvement over my Droid Pro (which has been my Buddy for a couple of years now...loved that phone, but let's face it, it's ancient technology).
Picked up this phone yesterday so admittedly I'm still learning and I'm still in a honeymoon phase. That being said, I find a lot of the nit-pickyness of many of the online reviews from several different sites to be misguided and...well...a little nit-picky.
I'm a techy guy, but I draw the line at rooting the phone. I hit the internet a lot, watch videos, movies, use this via bluetooth to connect to my Ford Explorer's Sync system to listen to my Google Cloud Music, GPS/Maps, etc. I use my phone a LOT and this phone RULES. The speed of both the 4G and the processor are outrageous. Considering most people upgrade after the 2 year contract, many of the reviews don't take that into consideration and only compare phones to their contemporaries. That makes sense, but it would be good for them to comment on the improvements over previous technology because this phone kicks all forms of a$$ if you're coming out of a 2 year old phone/contract.
The Camera works LIGHTING fast...no delay when you hit the button (isn't that frustrating?). The quality seems very good, but I haven't tried the HD video. I typically use my camera for video, but I may try it more with my phone now that I have the HD capability.
I did download Easy Battery Saver which i'm trying to find the right combination. The recommended settings with that app disable the 4G connection so I'm trying to get that figured out but that supposedly will help with the battery usage. We'll see how it goes today as I was able to charge it completely overnight. It did take a lot longer to charge up than my Droid Pro did for some reason....
If you're like me and use your phone to keep connected to the rest of the world but don't want to take it apart to fully enjoy it, then you will LOVE this phone. At a price of $199 for TWO, find a friend or loved one and GO GET THIS PHONE!!! -

Summary: This is my fifth Android phone the others being a LG Optimus, Motorola Droid (Original), Motorola Droid X2 and HTC EVO 3D. The LG Spectrum hands down is the best Android phone I have owned. The 1.5 dual-core S3 processor is amazing fast. The camera is fast and takes a great picture. The screen is clear and bright, HD content is outstanding.
The lack of LED status indicator is too bad since I had become accustomed to looking for it on my past phones. A lot of major reviewers have said the phone feels cheap which I disagree. I like the light weight of the phone and think it has a classy look to it. Yes the battery cover shows finer prints but since I put a case over it that doesn't bother me. The LG app drawer is "ok" but I will admit I switched back to list view after a while.
Overall I highly recommend this phone. -

Summary: Good news this phone you can talk and be on the internet at same time.last year they kept trashing verizon cause they couldnt do that cause of their technology well no more this phone can do just that..has built dolby surround sound when hooked up to headphones listing to music.it has speech to text works great..if in a hurry or have yr hands occupied..just answer by saying what you want to text awsome..keep in mind most so called professional reviewers get way to technical sometimes care more about how a phone looks physically or about technical numbers such as speed test call quality if its not exactly perfect...I for one dnt care for all that I more intrested on what the phone is intended to do works the way its suppose to work...this phone does all that and more...I for one am very forunate I live on the central coast in cali..We are just surrounded by great coverage here bth 3g and now 4g...so no matter where I go im about 95 percent connected with great coverage.thats somthing you have to think about b4 buying a phone like this...make sure you have good coverage whre you live makes a big difference...its not always the phones fault if it dnt work the way it suppose to..but overall I highly recommend this phone to every one looking for a new phone..just love mine

Might be the best device for the Price on VZ Wireless
by ehter813 on February 13, 2012
Pros: Best Screen on the Market, actually has more viewing space than the Galaxy Nexus, (Since the on screen buttons take up screen space on that). Most of the time it fast and the battery is above average for an Android LTE Device. Suppose to upgraded to ICS a
Cons: Occasional force closes on apps randomly...and there is also lag, i would say once every few days that usually ends with a force close message, then everything is running speedy again. Battery can always be better these days. Wish for a 4g/3g toggle. I th

Summary: If you are an regular user that doesnt care about being stock or doesnt freak out because verizon install apps that you can simple ignore, than this is the device for you. Bigger screen, but somehow feels a little smaller than the Rezound and takes pictures just as well. Also has Dobly Audio for the Music, which isnt as good as beats audio, but definitely better than some of the regular stuff out there.
