The good: The LG Vortex has a slim and simple design with a good touch-screen display. Features include GPS, EV-DO Rev. A, Wi-Fi with 3G Mobile Hotspot capabilities, a 3.2-megapixel camera, and stereo Bluetooth, and it ships with Android 2.2.
The bad: The LG Vortex isn't as fast as higher-end smartphones, and the camera has neither LED flash nor HD video capture. The browser doesn't support Flash video. It comes with Bing search and Bing maps instead of Google's own services. The price is not as competitive as other comparable handsets. You can't uninstall preloaded apps and services.
The bottom line: The LG Vortex is a wonderful entry-level Android smartphone for Verizon Wireless, as long as you know its limitations.

The worst phone I have ever used.

Pros: Not any. It's just a horrible phone.
Cons: Extremely NON user friendly! Just to set up your contacts is a mystery. Can't hear the person you called but your own voice is extremely loud. Tiny key board. Flips to different pages for no reason. Comes with way to many apps (clutter) ...

This phone is the most non-user friendly phone I have ever had. Very confusing. It also flips from page to page for no apparent reason. It is really hard to hear someone speaking to you but your own voice resounds back in your ear. Trying to ad a contact is like solving a puzzle or riddle. I tried 4 different times and saved it as that was the option given, but every time I go into contacts it says I have none. For some reason there are 4 main screens (blank stare). The key board is to small even in landscape, so get ready to type and retype over and over until you have it right. The voice texting will really make your conversation interesting for it types things you did not say. I am very disappointed in this phone and hope I saved someone from this extra headache in life.1 out of 3 users found this user opinion helpful.

Summary: I have had nothing but problems with my Vortex. It consistently freezes it has been sending people multiple random texts (taking it back today), it freezes, although I have it on vibrate it still rings and makes the sound as if it were turning its self off but stays on, I have a lock on it and when I try to put in in the 3, 5, and 9 all disappear. The battery life on it is awful my old phone had a hole in it, got dropped in water, was stepped on by soccer cleats, and the back didn't stay on and it still worked better than the Vortex.

No Voice Dialing
