The good: For a reasonable $99.99, the Motorola Atrix HD boasts a big, bright screen, a fast processor, Android 4.0 ICS, and 4G LTE.
The bad: Like the Droid Razr's, the Atrix HD's battery doesn't last long. Annoying bloatware detracts from the Android experience. The camera captures unimpressive images and video.
The bottom line: For $99.99, the Motorola Atrix HD is a great deal if you can live with its mediocre camera and short battery life.

The best smartphone I've ever had.
by dbfan2007 on January 9, 2013
Pros: Tough, especially the screen. I have no case for it. I have dropped it plenty of times. Absolutely no marks on the screen. Very small dings on the side. Screen makes iPhones look weak. Big, bright screen. Customizatable. The speaker is loud. Etc..
Cons: Camera and battery. I have a Canon camera for pictures and I always have chargers in my house and in my car. So I have no problem with that. I wish it had a little more internal memory, but I bought a 16 GB card.
Summary: This is a great phone. It does everything I want it to. I love how I can simply open up folders for my SD card and drop my music, pictures, ...
Summary: This is a great phone. It does everything I want it to. I love how I can simply open up folders for my SD card and drop my music, pictures, and movies right in. No syncing, no losing anything. My wife has the amazing Galaxy S3 that I always here about. To me, it's no better than this phone. This phone is tougher. The S3 might have a few cuter things here and there, but I'm not a teenage girl.
Oh, I need to add, I only paid $20 for the phone and received a $100 WalMart gift card (with a 2 year extension for ATT).
This phone is simply amazing, and I haven't even tried to root it yet.

Nice phone overall
by ajt9104 on December 3, 2012
Pros: everything except the con I've listed
Cons: you can't select different notification tones for texts and emails. You hear the same tone whether you're getting text message or email, and there's no way to change this.

Amazing upgrade
by Frailian_25 on November 8, 2012
Pros: Slim design, 1080p video, 8mp camera, 1.3mp hd camera front, Kevlar case, vivid colors, 1.5 GHz dual core, 4g LTE, 150 mbps wifi,
Cons: Lacks NFC support, short standby per battery charge (8.5 hrs), no radio

Summary: I had the original Atrix 4g when it first came out and it was a great phone. I didn't bother with the Atrix 2 at all. This was free with my upgrade and I gotta say, I love this phone. The pictures i take with the HDR setting are great. It's very durable because of the Kevlar case and the Gorilla glass. The screen is very responsive. The only thing that I don't like very much is the battery is built into the device and the standby time is 8.5 hours. Other that that I would recommend this phone. Can't go wrong with Motorola.

Pros: It has a beautiful screen and is fun to use, battery life is great since update!
Cons: I have always hated android keyboard, I just download swiftkey and I am fine.

When I first got it had severe battery life issues! Before recent update the phone would die in less then 12 hours, update has tripled that time! I am extremely impressed with this update and it is a wonderful phone for what it cost.
A GREAT phone since the upgrade, worth the price and possibly more! -
Many Impressive features, and for the price!
by browntc7 on September 21, 2012
Pros: Screen (has a very impressive HD screen)
Price ($99 at ATT for a 2 Year contract) This could easily compete with the phones in the $199 price range.
Look (the look of the phone is great, and feels good in your hand)
Call Quality (compared to samsung)Cons: Battery life (does have a pretty unimpressive battery life, but can do small things to extend the battery life)
Summary: Very impressed with the phone overall. My first one got stolen and when I went back to AT&T I picked this over the iPhone5

by atownred on July 23, 2012
Pros: Lightweight, nice design, great screen and display.
Cons: Won't allow you to use your own music for a ringtone. I guess its a ATT thing.
Summary: Love this phone. Should have waited for the Sprint version but I'm find with ATT....... so far!!!!!

3rd time trying to review! Horrible site
by skiuaw on September 24, 2012
Pros: Supposedly great reception
Cons: HORRIBLE reception. AT&T Customer service wasn't much better. The last two were tho. This phone does NOT live up to its hype!!
Summary: Don't buy. Waste your money on something else, like Vegas, where you'll have at least good memories. This survey site sucks BTW. This is my 3rd time to ...

DEAD IN 18 HOURS
by FullmetalAviator on August 11, 2012
Pros: Screen size and vibrant colors
Cons: No MotoBlur, Does not have a home center screen, UI is not intuitive or user friendly, Battery is NON-removable therefore Phone will brick if it locks up (this happened to me in the aforementioned timeframe!)

Summary: I got this phone through insurance replacement. I had the original Atrix when the WiFi and Bluetooth radios stopped working and would crash the phone when I tried to restart them. I took the phone to my ATT store to be activated due to the ATRIX HD takes a microSIM card and the Atrix 1 has a full size card. They had problems just getting the sim card into the slot. They activated the phone but the rep wasn't fully familiar with the setup of the phone. The phone requires an online setup process to enable certain features such as authorizing the phone to work on ATT wifi networks commonly found at businesses like McDonalds, Sams Clubs, etc.
The phone took 3 or 4 days for the battery to completely run down and thereby reset the phone. This was essentially a battery removal that took way too long. The phone is back up and running but is not receiving any data at all where I have full bars. I have noticed that this phone's voice reception and quality are poor. Also the wifi on this phone is very temperamental. The wifi will turn off on its own at random and will not remember any more networks since the phone locked up.
Just 18 hours after the phone had been activated I was using the Google Maps app for navigation and I noticed that the screen had suddenly turned off. I tried to get it to respond but it would not. I had just fully charged the phone so the battery was good. I plugged it back in and the green light indicating a full charge came on, but that was the extent of its indications of any life. I took it back to the ATT Store and they said that they couldn't fix it and I would have to file a THIRD claim through Asurion.
Bottom line, this is not a good phone! I probably could have fixed this phone in the time it takes to take the cover off pull out the battery and stick it back in. That is if the phone had a removable battery.
