The good: The affordable Droid Razr M features a fast processor, a lovely screen, 4G LTE, and long battery life. It's also compact and attractive.
The bad: The Razr M's camera takes unimpressive images, and its battery isn't removable.
The bottom line: If you're not a shutterbug, the Motorola Droid Razr M's sleek style, fast CPU, and great battery life make it an excellent choice.
My first smart phone
by lmonteros on February 9, 2013
Pros: I pretty much like everything except the "cons" I noted. Easy to hold, nice screen and resolution.
Cons: +Irritating, annoying, impossible-to-turn off notification sound and flashing light.
+Difficult to find settings.
+Uploads address book as default setting.

Summary: Background: This is my first smart phone. I am still learning to use it, and so I can't complain about things that are likely user incompetence. I am enjoying it for the most part, but the constant notification sound and blinking light are driving me nuts.
I have used the settings options, searched online forums, turned all the email and Facebook notifications to off multiple times. I still get the sounds. Sometimes there isn't even a notification, just the sound. Judging by the number of forums that discuss this issue, this is a problem that most users have.
It is very hard to find the settings as well. Yes, there is a "settings" option, but you don't always access the settings for an app that way, and all the settings don't seem to be in the same location.
I also do not like that the default setting when you install an existing email account is to upload all your contacts. I didn't catch that and didn't uncheck it, so now I have all these contact from Yahoo! that just take up space. They are useless to have in my phone for a number of reasons. They can be hidden, but still, it is intrusive and wasteful.
Other than those three issues, I am really enjoying this phone. It fits easily in my pocket and hand. When composing text messages, options come up to complete a word. I like that it isn't auto complete, but I can easily choose what I want. Adding new entries is easy, too.
It's just that darn ding-dong tone that knocks off a star.
I cannot be happier with this phone.

Pros: Love the touch screen, super easy interface, fast, tons of apps
Cons: After two months, I don't know of any.
Sexy phone that gives you more bang for your buck.

- Durable feeling
- Excellent battery
- Micro SD slot
Cons: - No removable battery
- Decent Cameras
- Side power button takes time to get used too

Summary: I picked up this phone on a whim. I decided to switch to Verizon and I originally ordered the iPhone 5. Well at the last minute I decided I wanted to switch back to Android and had to decided between the Razr M or the Incredible. Well I decided to go with this phone and so far I have loved it. Fit's nicely in my pocket, it's fast, and I just updated to 4.1.1. This phone is the best bang for your buck and I personally like the design. I feel free from the communist rule of Apple, and most of the apps I was using I can find in the Google Play store. If you are switching carriers and want an Android phone, go with this one. I personally do not like the HTC sense UI, and that's probably why I went with Motorola.
Traded in my GNEX for the RAZR M!
by kamimitsu on November 27, 2012
Pros: Outstanding battery life. Jelly Bean out of the box. Solid and compact design. Close to stock Android interface, with useful tweaks.
Cons: Screen size (if that's your thing). 8GB on board means you'll need an SD card quick-ish.

Summary: I sell mobile phones for one of the big providers, so get to play with lots of devices. After having the RAZR M for my work phone for a few weeks, I traded in my GNEX for it. To be fair, my GNEX was starting to play up with reboots, low battery life, etc. I was sold on how much you get for the price point: awesome battery life (I often end the day with over 50%), beautiful screen (looks very sharp despite its relatively low stats), compact design (plenty of screen real estate for the overall size), very little muddying of stock Android (Samsung TouchWiz and HTC Sense have gotten a bit out of control, in my book), and running Jelly Bean (does this really need a parenthetical explanation?) I often explain that it's 80% of what you'd get in a top tier device for half the price. I can live with that.
Great CDMA+GSM world phone! It's compact & slick.
by ash55699 on November 22, 2012
Pros: > Preunlocked World Phone, must have for international travelers like me.
> Great edge to edge display
> Great screen size yet the phone itself is small enough that I don't have to use both of my hands.
> 1.5Ghz dual core, 1GM RAM, SD Card
Cons: > Camera auto focus sucks as compared to my old HTC phone
> The screen lock button is too close to the volume button
> Boring Kevlar back
Summary: I've been with Tmobile for 10 years and this phone made me move. Verizon & Moto, keep on having these slick, compact world phones as majority of the population ...

Pros: 1.5ghz dual core processor, 1GB of ram, expandable memory, 4.3" edge to edge display, ultra thin and sleek design, quick updates.
Cons: camera could be better, and an HD screen would be nice.

Best Smart Phone MOTO has come up with so far!
by Mondrovic on November 9, 2012
Pros: 1.Ultra clean and sleek looking
2.Feels great on hand and very convenient for all button and touch command
3.The new 4.0 UI is phenomenal! (fast, smart, practical!)
4.Earphone a plus for playback quality too
5.Camera improved in response and snapshots
Cons: 1.Though much improved compared with previous 2.0 models, CAMERA is still poor in presentation(hello moto...)
2.Though good in playback quality, the in-ear earphone feels stuffy and a bit uncomfortable for long use.
3.hiss/inference w audio out
Summary: M for Modesty! Well done Moto!

Poor audio quality - the device's one major flaw
by tom_ell on October 31, 2012
Pros: Perfect form factor, excellent battery life
Cons: High levels of hiss / interference when a speaker is connected to the 3.5mm jack while audio is not playing. Also an unpleasant thump when the audio output turns on or off.
Summary: If you are one of those people who would never connect your phone to anything except cheap earphones, and you're not fussed about audio quality when playing through speakers/...
Summary: If you are one of those people who would never connect your phone to anything except cheap earphones, and you're not fussed about audio quality when playing through speakers/decent headphones, I can strongly recommend this phone. For me, the flawed 3.5mm jack output is unacceptable and I'm returning mine for a full refund.
Don't buy, if audio is important to you

Summary: I had a DROID X before this and it was great. Worked with everything I ever plugged it into. But the RAZR M is very picky. With some devices, it's nice and quiet with decent audio like my old DROID X. But with other devices, there's a really awful level of background noise and static. In my case, my BOSE IE2 headphones are fine. But plugging it into my car (a BMW) is terrible. Doesn't matter is if the car is running or now - lots of hissing and static. And, plugging my old DROID X in exactly the same way is perfectly quiet. Same with plugging it into a Nissan Maxima. My Jambox is in the middle, not as quiet as my IE2 headphones, but not as noisy as the cars.
Bottom line, if you like to listen to music or podcasts, I'd stay away from this phone. It will play audio OK with some devices, but it's terribly noisy with others.
awesome phone! best i have ever had

- Manufacturer: Motorola
- Part number: DROIDRAZRM
- Description: The big 4.3-inch display spans edge-to-edge, yet RAZR M still fits perfectly in the palm of your hand, making this one impossibly compact smartphone. Texting, emailing, reading, watching - it's all much easier to do when you have 40 percent more screen space than the leading competitor. And on a vibrant, high-resolution Super AMOLED Advanced display, everything looks amazing.
