2 days with my Lumia and I LOVE IT. Fast and awesome.

Pros: - awesome screen and nav.
- ease: all email accounts, facebook and linkedIn set-up in 5min. No apps
- transferred contacts from old phone using bluetooth. worked ;)
- Sent 20 fb messages this morning. never managed that with old phone.
- DIFFERENT:)
Cons: - No front video; who cares. Never used it with old phone
- video in 720px only.
- "dearth of apps" according to papers. Maybe so, but not unlike Mac in 90s. Had little apps compared to PC (few games ,etc.), that didn't make them any less good!
Summary: Just got my Lumia 2 days ago and I LOVE IT.

Summary: Just got my Lumia 2 days ago and I LOVE IT.
Before you ask I had an iPhone 3gs (stolen) in he past and was currently using HTC HD 2 (which I was generally happy with).
Since I got my Lumia I managed to :
- create all my email accounts + facebook and linkedIn in 5min top. Fact. No need for apps
- transferred all my contacts from my old phone using bluetooth. That worked a treat.
- Managed to send 20 comments on facebook which I had never done it in 2years before. That is that simple.
what I like is the fact that you can link contacts together (e.g. a contact with his linkedId and facebook profile) and see all interactions with that contact from one place. So too to interact with them. The "people" hub as they call it is superb.
I know there is no front video (there was in my old phone but never used it) and the camera only records in 720px. And it has a "dearth of apps" as the papers call it. However it reminds me of the Macintosh in the 90s. They do had a dearth of apps compared to PC (very few games ,etc...) but that didn't make them any less good.
Comparing Lumia and Windows Phone with the Macintosh of the past might shock more that one. But I feel it's very relevant : Market Share is tiny compared to Apple but being the small player they have been forced to do things differently. I.e. simple, clever and all integrated. I find it works perfectly. I can't be asked to scroll through screens of apps. I need phone, contacts, emails, texting and social media right there. Don't want to have to install itunes, apps, etc. That's what i get here.
I am now listening to Nokia music having connected my phone to my stereo. Again, no set-up/apps was required and music selection is good. It's a mix done for you; I chose classic rock theme and have listened so far to Pulp, Stairway to Heaven, U2: The Joshua Tree, simon & Garfunkel, currently playing Sweet home alabama.
I think there is a few things that could be improved but I can't really say if it's part of the Apple or Android experience.
I rate it 4.5 out of 5. Superb design, superb screen, intuitive navigation and ease of use. It simply works and looks awesome out of the box.

Summary: The Lumia 800 is a pleasure to use, it's a style icon. It feels great in the hand. The curved glass and one piece construction scream quality. When in use the screen is so bright and colours so vivid it's amazing. The new windows phone OS is the future, so intuitive and user friendly. The ability to multitask opens a lot of possibilities, you can search be chatting on facebook, copy and paste the link into your chat seamlessly.
With the Lumia you have to use Zune software to transfer your media, while that may make you pause for thought, don't. Unlike Itunes which is clunky, slow, and just a pain to use, Zune is a pleasure. Zune doesn't try to force you to buy your music legally, it treats all your music library as though you bought it from them, it will find album art on it's own and can sort your tracks by album almost perfectly.
The fact that Windows phone users are currently in the minority means you'll miss out on a lot of apps. In future this may change as windows OS becomes more dominant, however for the moment it means no BBCiplayer app, or Onlive. Microsoft does make up for this somewhat with offerings such as Skydrive, giving you 25 gigs of cloud storage for free. All the BIG apps are there like BBC/Sky/Guardian News, but for the moment you may miss a few good ones.
All in all I would give the Lumia 9 out of 10
Once uptake improves and if flash support is added it could earn a 10.

Summary: I got to play with this at an industry premier in London. Very hush hush. I was impressed! For the sake of full disclosure, I'm already a big fan of the Nokia N-line, especially the N9, so I knew what to expect. I'll never go back to Nokia's proprietary operating system after seeing Windows Phone 7 running on this bad boy. By the way, Windows Phone 7 is a really stupid name for an OS.

Summary: My experience with Nokia Lumia is a never ending daily struggle and I regret the fateful decision of ordering a Lumia 800 in December last year. My experiences / issues:
1. The first model received had issues with battery longevity. After a week, Nokia replaced this model with a new one.
2. The new model still had lingering issues with battery longevity. Nokia issued an update that was supposed to fix the problem. However, instead of fixing the issue, it led to a worsening of the issue. First visit to Nokia Care.
3. All is well for couple of months. Suddenly, one fine day Lumia's screen freezes. The issue is discussed at http://discussions.nokia.com/t5/Nokia-with-Windows-Phone/Freezing-issue-with-Lumia-800/td-p/1271733. Another visit to Nokia care.
4. Nokia returns the set claiming that the problem is fixed (however, no explanation of what the problem was and what the fix was). Used the set for two weeks, and again the problem resurfaces and the screen freezes. Another visit to Nokia care in the offering.
Apart from the above, there are number of issues that made me realize how I used to take the absence of the issues for granted in other sets. For example,
1. Intermittent automatic reboots once / twice every 3-4 weeks of usage. It seems that the phone has brain of its own and realizes that it is hosting a Windows OS so a reboot is customary.
2. When ending a call, Lumia will take almost 2-3 minutes before allowing me to the opportunity to redial.
3. USSD (Unstructured Supplementary Service Data) does not work, denying me the easy way to check my prepaid balance. Now the only way is to call the Service Providers IVR and go thru the multi-hop mennu system to get the same information.
4. Every update of the OS/firmware release by Nokia wipes my data on the phone, no matter how minor the update. This even includes all the apps that I would have downloaded.
There are a number of other minor quirks, that I am now willing to overlook - thanks to the issues mentioned above. However, one thing is certain, I am not trying any new Nokia and Windows mobile for the foreseeable future.
