The good: Nokia's Lumia 810 has decent call quality and a nice helping of extra software that differentiates it from other Windows phones. It's also one of the first Windows phones with external storage.
The bad: This bulky smartphone has an uninspiring build and is more expensive than AT&T's higher-end Lumia 920.
The bottom line: The Nokia Lumia 810 makes for a practical smartphone choice, but if you're looking for something thin and light, the HTC Windows Phone 8X is one better option.

Nokia has struck lightening into our Hearts. Awesome
by Nokia_Master on November 20, 2012
Pros: Sleek, slim, and Sexy. This device delivers the speed and intuitive design we expect as nokia lovers.
Cons: Music where do I put it. Information leads Zune out to pasture. However, how does a user put their music and album art on effectively. I attempted windows media player, ha a joke at best. Still missing half of covers.
Summary: Great phone and features no body else dared to break barriers with wireless charging and bump/push technology in one device. To say the the 920 is better is a ...
Summary: Great phone and features no body else dared to break barriers with wireless charging and bump/push technology in one device. To say the the 920 is better is a farce. At&t can't even get the colors customers want. Only other con is I went through 4 handsets to get this one with working internet. Oh and the accessories are not out yet.

Great phone for professional workers and easy to set up
by efeistel on December 16, 2012
Pros: Gorilla glass screen requires no special gloves and readable in sunlight. MicroSD card allows up to 64GB of added storage. Free Nokia apps for streaming music and turn by turn voice directions. T-Mobile data service only one with no caps on usage.
Cons: Limited backcover colors. Missing image stabilization for camera (but SteadyCam app helps to resolve and still very good photos even in poor lighting). Apps are limited but professional workers will find high quality productivity tools they need.

Summary: My employer is moving from company phones to a BYOD plan. I retired a Blackberry and selected a Windows Phone as the replacement. I wasn't too concerned about the limited color selections of the 810 since any normal person is going to put their phone in a protective case anyway. I've been using for two weeks and so far very pleased. Phone seems quite comparable in size, thickness and overall appearance to my wife's Samsung Galaxy SII, especially when we have the protective cases on them. Looks very nice to me and seems more rugged than some other phones on the market. I believe performance is slightly faster than HTC Phone 8X, but the difference is negliable to the average user. Free 7GB on Microsoft SkyDrive is very nice for backups and transfers of photos and videos. Integration with work environment is a real plus, such as SharePoint Online access to documents via Office hub and the ability to use Lync 2010 in conjunction with Office 365's Lync Online service. You can't do either of these things on iOS or Android device. Xbox integration is also very nice. We have two Xboxes for gaming and entertainment at home. I like that I can stay in touch with my son when he is gaming (and can't hear the phone ring since he wears headphones for the game). I also like the ability to use the phone itself as a make shift remote control for watching movies on TV (see Smartglass app) or even as an impromptu game controller. I like the Live Tile functionality that places key information on my home screen so that at a glance I see everything that is going on with my appointments and colleagues trying to reach me. I am just amazed at how good the phone really is considered some of the reviews I've read. I think some reviewers may be locked in some kind of mental paradigm on iPhones and not really looking closely at what Windows Phone is really capable of doing. The combination with Nokia to me makes this a hands down superior choice over HTC. The Nokia apps are really that good.

Very sound and usuable device! Love it!
by warbatrick on December 13, 2012
Pros: Nokia 810 Windows 8 phone OS is a welcome relief for people who want a smooth and intuitive system. It takes only a small learning curve to understand and master the options. This Nokia phone has an excellent quality build. Classy and rugged looking!
Cons: A bit hefty when compared to other phones. Weight can be accounted for by use of Gorilla glass and the Polycarbonite back shell. In my judgement the "Pro of added protection outweighs the"Cons" of the bulk and heft of the phone.
Summary: The more I used this phone the more I like it. I have heard complaints of lack of apps compared to more matured OS's. Give Windows 8 some time ...
Summary: The more I used this phone the more I like it. I have heard complaints of lack of apps compared to more matured OS's. Give Windows 8 some time to get developers on board and you will see a vast improvement on the choices. For now it has a good balance of core apps that are available on most phones. I hope that Microsoft uses their marketing leverage to get a few outstanding exclusive apps that will demostrate how well Windows 8 phone OS is. My last phone was a Android Samsung Galaxy S II. I would rate the Nokia 810 the superior of the two phones for ease of use and being uncomplicated.

The answer for a frustrated android user
by billo101 on December 10, 2012
Pros: the live tiles are amazing, the camera is superior, its not made by HTC, the Nokia maps are fantastic, you can uninstall T-Mobile's bloatware, it feels good in the hand, wwp8 is as user friendly as iOS with the freedom of android.
Cons: Really I was hesitant on purchasing this phone due to lack of apps but thus far the only app I really want that's unavailable is spotify but it will be released in due time.
Summary: I believe if you're in the market for a windows phone stick with Nokia, you won't be disappointed if you are then wait for the iPhone so you ...
