The good: The Nokia Lumia 920 forges new Windows Phone ground with wireless charging support and a highly sensitive screen you can use with gloves. Moreover, Nokia helps fill in Windows Phone OS gaps with a few missing features.
The bad: A thick, heavy build and slippery finish for some colors make the Lumia 920 harder to hold and carry, and the phone's overhyped camera doesn't have enough settings.
The bottom line: Nokia's Lumia 920 is heavy and thick, but if you want the most powerful, feature-rich Windows phone available, this is it.

Undisputedly, the BEST Smartphone money can buy!
by alexbc1 on November 15, 2012
Pros: - BEST touchscreen on ANY smartphone
- BEST Camera of ANY smartphone
- Windows 8 Phone OS
- Cool and gorgous design (specially the colored ones)
- Wireless Charging
- Nokia Maps
- Nokia Drive
- Office 365Cons: - Not really a con, but Apps are not as much as others due to being a new OS, but even after a week, more Apps are added!
Summary: This phone just ROCKS! Best available phone, and A STEAL (if you're in US with AT&T)! Seriously...
I was very much intrigued by Lumia 900, but I ...Summary: This phone just ROCKS! Best available phone, and A STEAL (if you're in US with AT&T)! Seriously...
UPDATE: @CNET, How is this product user rating is 4.5 stars, where 93% (28 out of 30) of people have given it 5-stars and even if averaged out it's 4.83 stars? It is definitely closer to 5 than 4.5... another BIAS at Cnet?
I was very much intrigued by Lumia 900, but I knew a new OS is coming and its camera and display was just a bit behind iPhone 4S, so waited... This one, OH BOY, is it simply GORGOUS, and TRUMPS any phone out there! There's simply NO competition, NONE!
Display: HIGHEST resolution, HIGHEST Pixel density, and HIGHEST refresh rate vs. iPhone5/Galaxy S3
Touchscreen: Most sensetive on the market, I used gloves last night and worked just perfect
Camera: BEST camera on the market by A MILE, OMG, I took some pics at a club last night, it was ridicolous! Like seriously people were gathering around me to see how in the world I took amazing pics like that in a dark nightclub. It literally SHAMED my buddy's iPhone 5 and 4S pics, not even close!
Windows 8 Phone OS: This is seriously the best mobile OS out there, with no competition. I was an iPhone user, and before that BB user, never found Android exciting, its simply a flawed and free OS to gain marketshare. Windows 8 OS is cool, gorgous, super smooth, has live tiles that gives you info before launching an App (can quickly glance what's going on), email client is amazing, the Music client is simply gorgous, and it is SUPER EASY to use.
Apps: I have NO IDEA what CNet and other reviewers are complaining about! Yes, ofcourse it doesn't have as many Apps as iPhone/Android, it's a FREAKING NEW PLATFORM, DUH! How many Apps did we have at launch of iPhone or Android? I actually think there's more than enough useful apps as launch and they've done an amazing job so far and it will only grow in time. You just need to search around and find replacement for your favorite Apps and I haven't had any issues. One cool thing is you can *try* most apps without paying, and then if it works for you can pay and get the full version. It's fantastic!
Maps: Nokia owns Navteq that is the BIGGEST supplier of maps to all GPS and navigation tools out there (for instance Garmin). So, you KNOW they got this right. It actually has more countries covered than Google Maps. It is very smooth, is very accurate (unlike Apple Maps that are simply inaccurate), and is fast! I find it hard to pick between Nokia Maps and Google Maps, it's a toss-up, and both TRUMP Apple maps.
Nokia Drive: This is turn-by-turn navigation and CAN WORK OFFLINE! This feature alone is worth getting this phone. Imagine traveling to Europe and like to rent a car and drive around... you can simply download the maps for countries you visit, turn Data off (not to pay extra roaming costs), and use this as your GPS. FANTASTIC!
Call Quality/Data: Nothing to complain, it's simply Nokia quality for calls (best in the market), and data speeds are FAST under LTE.
Browser: IE10 is awesome. I love that website entry is at bottom of screen vs. top, so it's easy to use. Website just show-up PERFECT, and with the great resolution, screen size, and WIDER screen than iPhone 5/GS3, you just have MORE ON THE SCREEN, hence a better experience. I actually think websites show up better on this 4.5 vs. 4.8 on GS3 due to the wider aspect ratio.
Wireless charging: WHY not all phones come like this is just beyond me?! It's sooo cool. Simply place it on the plate and have it charged, if it rings, pick up with no unplugging required, cables dangling, etc... Another innovation on this phone!
Build Quality: 10/10, it just feels solid, is made of Poly Carbonate which is used for most expensive gadgets, it has curved glass and curved body and it's just a premium device, at a totally different league vs. GS3, and IMO even better built than iPhone5.
WEIGHT/SIZE: There's so much BS about this phone's size and weight that just infiurates me. CNet claims this is heavy? ARE YOU SERIOUS?! This weighs as much as 2 clices of Ham and I never noticed the weight until I READ the review... People add metal/huge protective cases to their phone and add weight all the time. The size is just like GS3, and it does weigh a tiny bit more, but it's ABSOLUTELY NOT AN ISSUE, it's simply non-sense to say that's a downside.
Cool factor: 10/10. This is ONE COOL PHONE and DIFFERENT! I wish I could get the Cyan or other colors, but in Canada we only get Black for now. If you got a choice, get a non-black color, it will totally stand out!
Overall: I have NEVER owned another phone that has WOWed me as much and has done so many things as well as this phone. I literally pick it up multiple times an hr just to feel the awesome quality. It is the best internet experience with the gorgous display, the camera is simply untouchable at night, and if you are a younger user who takes pictures at night a lot, YOU MUST OWN this. The phone is different than all slabs in the market, and if you're in US, it's an incredible deal with AT&T.
If you wanna BE DIFFERENT, BE COOL, OWN a Lumia! Bottom line!

Simply the best smart phone I have ever used.
by gaijindragonslayer_2 on November 11, 2012
Pros: I have the matt black version, which feels good in the hand and weighs just right. It handles flawlessly. Nokia hardware is astounding. The screen is by far the best in the full glare of a bright sunny day. Windows 8 is the smartest and easiest OS.
Cons: Windows 8 is too easy compared to iOS6 or Android. It's hard to get used to an OS that is this smooth, this easy to use. It makes iOS6 look old and clumsy.
Summary: I now use a Nokia Lumia 920 instead of an iPhone and I use an MS Surface RT with a Touch cover instead of an iPad4. Windows 8 from desktop ...
Summary: I now use a Nokia Lumia 920 instead of an iPhone and I use an MS Surface RT with a Touch cover instead of an iPad4. Windows 8 from desktop to Surface Rt, to W8 phone is astoundingly simple, elegant, modern, and awesome to use. To think this phone was made by MS and Nokia; not Apple is what truly amazes me.
The Nokia Lumia 920 feels great and Nokia has added Apps to give added value to an already great operating system.
For $99 with two year contract makes this a no brainer when compared to the overpriced and aging iPhone5 that needs, desperately needs a rubber case; thus destroying the so called elegance of Apple design.
The Nokia Lumia 920 does not need a case and Windows 8 is the easiest OS to use, and the most fun too. Now that's great design!
I'm sure Apple will sell more but the real action, the real buzz is with the Nokia Lumia 920 running Windows 8X.3 out of 3 users found this user opinion helpful.

Display - colours good - black is deep. screen very fast

wireless charging and battery
camera - the best on a smartphone.Cons: Do I use 'Zune' to sync on pc or windows phone 8 app for windows 8?
most functions are over the air anyway now.Summary: People said it would be too big. Ignore that - it's so nicely designed, I don't realise I've got a big phone. camera is, indeed, incredible - ...
Summary: People said it would be too big. Ignore that - it's so nicely designed, I don't realise I've got a big phone. camera is, indeed, incredible - particularly low light. pleased with slick, smooth speed of display, applications, switching. the built in Nokia exclusives are really good (Drive, city lens, etc.)
Baked in functions with Bing, hubs for bringing photo stuff together from all my accounts, people for bringing people/contact/social stuff together. really neat phone2 out of 2 users found this user opinion helpful.

Big Fan of Nokia phones!
by JimmyxJ on December 10, 2012
Pros: Fast processor - opens apps super quick
Camera - takes awesome pics - has excellent apps to be creative
NFC
Wireless charging
Superior screen
Nokia Drive and Nokia Maps - better than Google products
Windows 8
PriceCons: Have more colors available at launch. AT&T stores carry only two of every color at launch. They should have more devices.
There are 920 accessories out there but few stores carry them (looking at you AT&T) (Amazon included).Summary: Excellent phone that I am very happy with. I owned the 900 and in the past I had a Samsung Focus (WP7), Samsung Captivate (Android) and iPhone 1st gen and ...
Summary: Excellent phone that I am very happy with. I owned the 900 and in the past I had a Samsung Focus (WP7), Samsung Captivate (Android) and iPhone 1st gen and 3G. By far the best of the bunch although iPhone is really close.
Pro: I forgot to add that the wireless charging is awesome. AT&T gave you the Nokia charger free with purchase but it had to be shipped to you.
The phone is big but I love the bigness and heft.
Cons: No Barnes and Noble Nook app yet :(
Lacks the ability to backup the phone (clone) like you can with iDevices.
Even with the cons that aren't vital (more like pet peeve) at all -5 stars all around!

Pros: Superb camera
Great and accurate maps

Office support
Interesting colour options (I stuck with black)Cons: Count of apps (didn't bother me as I don't need 150 odd pdf readers)

The camera is outstanding and allows me to avoid carrying my Nikon... All the hype about lack of apps is unwarranted as most sane people do not need 100s of variants of the same app.... the weight again is a non issue as this thing packs a punch over other light weight feature poor phones out there in market.
@Nokia... Start selling it officially in India and you'll soon get to the top!!!2 out of 2 users found this user opinion helpful.

We have had the phone for almost a week and she is just having a lot of fun with it, and no more mention of the iphone. I guess I'll be getting my own 920 for xmas!2 out of 2 users found this user opinion helpful.

A very classy & high quality feeling device
by LouisvilleSteve on November 14, 2012

Windows Phone 8 is a pleasure to use every dayCons: Your friends won't understand why you're not going along with the rest of the crowd (but who cares?).

Summary: I absolutely love my Lumia 920! I was very concerned about the size and weight that the reviewers keep mentioning. While the reviews are obligated to point out the bulkiness of the phone it really is a non-issue. Actually, I really like the solid feel of the device. After using the Lumia 920 for 3 days I held an HTC Windows phone 8x for the first time. The 8x felt flimsy by comparison and just didn't have the premium look and feel of the 920. I am a gadget freak and replace my phone at least once a year. This is the best phone I've ever owned.

Screen is clear even in sunlight.
Battery life is really good, even with heavy use.Cons: At&t didn't have any wireless changers in stock.

Summary: I just went for the S3 to 920. Both have their perks. To tell you the truth I was looking for something different; the 920 has done that job. I picked it up on release day and I love it. I know that there are not as many apps as Android and iOS, but with the release of Win8 I know that there will be more down the road (since AppDev for Win8 and WP8 are very close). As far as the camera, I would have pay double the price ($100 with contract renew). The photos are amazing. I know many cell cameras take amazing day photos, but the 920 takes amazing low light photos. Sadly one down side (mostly At&t) they did not have the wireless charge in stock.

Summary: I was a lucky customer in the AT&T store on the 1st morning that this Nokia 920 came out, the clerk had to walk to the back room to find a brand new red one for me, as she said the truck had just pulled in for the 1st load of Nokia 920 phones.
I got it for a week now, and i must sadly say that this phone is better than my last 2 Iphones. I did order the new Iphone 5 it came in but i decided to sell it and keep the Nokia 920.
I like the size of it, its not too small, not too big, the I5 is too small, the new Samsung III is too big, it has nicer stereo with 2 speakers and sounds loud, especially on speaker phone, which i need, very shiny screen and bright, the whites is whites on screen, not as bluish cast as the SamsungIII.
I really enjoy using this phone with all new Windows 8. and Nokia map with voice on turn by turn. the incoming phone has voice talk to tell you the incoming number.
The Zeiss lens is sharp and clear.,2 out of 2 users found this user opinion helpful.
