The good: The Nokia Lumia 920 forges new Windows Phone ground with wireless charging support and a highly sensitive screen you can use with gloves. Moreover, Nokia helps fill in Windows Phone OS gaps with a few missing features.
The bad: A thick, heavy build and slippery finish for some colors make the Lumia 920 harder to hold and carry, and the phone's overhyped camera doesn't have enough settings.
The bottom line: Nokia's Lumia 920 is heavy and thick, but if you want the most powerful, feature-rich Windows phone available, this is it.

Summary: Have had this about a week and overall really impressed. Nokia has done a real good job with their high end phone. All the features listed above in pros hold true. So far no major technical issues but will like to see how it holds out in the long term.
The only issue, I'm out of battery by 12 hours. You can use power saver settings but the display kills the battery, especially if you use your phone a great deal during the day. For now I'm ok with it, but I am sure this may annoy me over time1 out of 1 users found this user opinion helpful.

An excellent phone, particularly for business use.
by EWCTCU on December 14, 2012
Pros: Easy integration with exchange
*Start screen is unique and customizable; I prefer it to iOS
*The camera and Nokia add on "lenses" are great
*Nokia music
*Mobile excel
*Skydrive/doc handling
*Photo album integration with Facebook
*Wireless chargingCons: *The app environment. I'm not missing anything really important, only a few time saving apps, but it is an issue.
*Mobile word
*No native stopwatch/timer
*Voice to text works well; voice control doesn't.

Summary: I made the decision to try Windows phone in large part out of curiosity and because I am contrarian. After reading about the Lumia 920, I decided to give it a shot. I love the feel of the phone, and think it looks great.
I do a lot of work on my phone; effective integration with exchange was a necessity. The email works great, both with exchange and with gmail. I prefer it to iOS. I also greatly prefer skydrive to iCloud. It integrates much more easily with windows explorer on my computer, and makes it easy to manage files. Mobile office is nice. Excel works extremely well. I'm less impressed with Word. Powerpoint might as well just be a viewer. IE explorer plays much nicer with secure websites I use for work than does Safari.
As for all the other stuff. The camera is great; my wife who hates that I switched acknowledges that the pictures are better than iphone 4s. I love the live tiles; that feature is what first led me to windows. They are functional and make organizing the start screen easy. It is much less cluttered than my iphone. I like the facebook and twitter apps, and the photo integration with facebook is excellent. I do wish that I could open multiple pages from twitter (I like to open several tabs to read - I've not found a way to do this from twitter as of yet).
The major flaw is the app environment. It's little things that are missing, lots of company apps. The lack of google apps is also annoying.1 out of 1 users found this user opinion helpful.

Summary: After spending some time with this device, I have to say this is definitely a phone you should test out o truly understand it. From the superb camera, to the tight Twitter/Facebook integration, Office integration, Nokia Drive(!!!), and more, this phone has a lot of things going for it.
It's a flagship Windows Phone and will be for a while when more applications are available. Not only do you have a variety of cool colors to choose from, the new OS is very customizable and you can truly make this phone your own. A must own, and I would recommend that die-hard Android and iOS users check this thing out.1 out of 1 users found this user opinion helpful.

The phone is great overall...
by mamporrero5 on December 10, 2012
Pros: The audio is great with the dolby sound system. Also WP8 have some apps that makes your life easier. The camera is awesome overall. The screen sensitive is also great.
Cons: Soon there'll be more apps. The camera works great but with the sun light it could be better. The video player has no settings at all, it is only play and pause, and forward 30 seconds. I think that's the only thing that need improvement.
Summary: Great phone if you want to change from android or IOS.

Simplicity and functionality working together.
by hjubara052992 on December 10, 2012
Pros: Camera is great (especially in low light).
Screen is beautiful and sharp. It is also very sensitive.
battery life is pretty good based on how hard I work it.
Nokia exclusive apps are the best apps available in the market and are a necessity.Cons: Heats up
Many apps still missing from windows 8. Even a lot of the wp7 apps are missing. (This is a temporary problem)
camera auto settings are not always the best. You need to adjust to your surroundings.Summary: This is the absolute best phone in the market. Nokia went all out on this one. It has a smooth polycarbonate uni body that feels nice in your hands. It ...
Summary: This is the absolute best phone in the market. Nokia went all out on this one. It has a smooth polycarbonate uni body that feels nice in your hands. It looks amazing and beats any other device in design.
It is very unique and the modern UI that windows provides Nokia with is just a great example of software and hardware in harmony. The wp8 platform minimizes the need for apps. The only other necessary apps are provided by Nokia in the Nokia exclusives.
The screen jumps out at you with an amazing resolution and ink like blacks. Looks amazing in sunlight and even works with gloves.
Battery is good enough not to forget the wireless chargers I have at home and at work I never go below 30%.
Skydrive is the most convenient synchronization a phone can have that adds an additional 7GBgb of storage (I have 25GB) It is automatic and everything on my phone is backed up instantly. All my files from my PC are available from my Lumia 920.
I really love this devise. I recommend it to everyone. It is simple, beautiful, innovative, and loaded with functions. I can name many things my Lumia can do that other phones can not, but I have a real hard time thinking of what other devices can do that my Lumia can not.
The NFC accessories are incredible and attractive.
It's price is a lot cheaper than the inferior competition.
Take my advice and do not hesitate to buy this phone.
Windows phone is the future and it will get there through Nokia.1 out of 1 users found this user opinion helpful.

More than I could have hoped for
by Midriklogic on December 10, 2012
Pros: One of the most beautiful screens and cameras on the market
Built-in wireless charging capability
NFC
Xbox Music and Games, Office, OneNote
Exclusive Nokia Apps (Drive & City Lens is amazing)
AccessoriesCons: Low friction screen makes it slide off other low friction areas easy

Summary: I upgraded from a HTC Arrive, which was nothing special but did what I needed nicely. My wife has a Lumia 900 and I thought it was amazing. I am surprised Nokia was able to add so many features and release the 920 half a year later. Wireless charging, bigger screen with amazing ppi. The contruction on this thing is a beast, don't have to worry about it breaking or cracking (funny how many iPhones I saw recently at Disneyland with cracked/chipped screens). NFC was a great touch, ontop of the free exclusive Nokia Apps and games (they gave Mirrors Edge away free for a few days last week, and are always doing things like that). It's clear Nokia is out to give the consumer most bang for their buck, unlike companies who overcharge for lackluster features and performance. This phone even takes amazing pictures in the dark. I've already said many times that the setting is too dark and yet once the 920 snaps the photo it is clear and crisp. Amazing phone.
