The good: The Palm Pixi features a remarkably thin design and an improved QWERTY keyboard. An updated OS brings Yahoo integration as well as enhanced messaging features. It also offers Bluetooth, GPS, and 3G support.
The bad: Lacks Wi-Fi. The smartphone can be sluggish and battery can drain quickly. The camera's picture quality is subpar and still lacks video recording and editing options.
The bottom line: While not as powerful as the Pre, the Palm Pixi offers first-time smartphone buyers a decent set of features in a sleek little package. However, to be really competitive, we think it needs to come down in price just a touch.

WORST PHONE EVER!

Pros: Nothing. I can't think of a single thing I like about this phone.
Cons: Phone takes about a minute to actually call someone after you've hit dial. Texts often fail to send. Battery dies quickly, even after upgrade.
Summary: I've had many phones, and this one is the worst! I really couldn't do anhything on it.

Pros: nice screen size and like the cards can have several thing open at one time keyboard it small but easy to use
Cons: no spell check for emails or text messages can't set up the favorites on home page stuck with factory set up not easy to find contact from the text screen cant set up seperate alerts for text messages hard for larger fingers on touch screen

Pros: There is nothing I can say that is positive about this phone versus past Samsung and BlackBerry models I've owned.
Cons: the Palm Pixi is the WORST phone Ive ever owned. The battery life is atrocious, the processor power is lacking, and the touchscreen sensitivity does not last long.

Crashes and burns!

Pros: Touch Screen , great camera
Cons: The phone is compact and overheats quickly. When it overheats and it turns itself off. Pixi does not have an SD card so all data is stored directly on the phone.

If the Pixi overheats and shuts down during a file transfer to a computer, all the data WILL be lost (it happened twice while transferring contacts and pictures).
I loved the touch screen ability but it is useless if the phone is not working properly. I will never buy another Palm phone product. -

Pros: Web os was a great idea, and I like useing the cards.
Cons: Turns off at random, locks up on app startup, key lock will not unlock (have to remove battery), error saying I have to many cards when the only one open is the one opening, youtube and web browsing error, lack of apps, and promised software updates.

Summary: I have talked to Sprint and they have not given me a resolution besides getting a replacment. This is my seconed one and I don't want another. I got my first phone in January and had to replace it by April. I have always had phones that out lived the upgrade and use, yet sprint told me that I use the phone too much and thats why I am having these problems. They suggested to just dump the cache every few days (So a hard restart each week.. Really?). I can't believe how the hardware can't support the software and that customer support for Sprint tried to convince me to buy another phone off ebay instead. Why create software than can do so much with a phone that cannot handle it?

Pros: It was very easy to use and it surfed the web nicely.
Cons: I never droped it or anything I began to have problems the phone kept freezing and giving me messages like "too many cards open at once" when I didnt have anything open, it would not let me save contacts into my phone.

Summary: Got the Pixi while going to Sprint to look for a phone that didn't "Break the bank" in terms of initial sign up. I was one of those that didn't adopt the Pre initially or really even know much about their tiny line-up since they weren't major competitors in the smart phone market after their trip up of a marketing campaign. However, after I picked it up and played around for 10 minutes I was hooked and surprised that the phone wasn't more popular... Though marketing sometimes wins. After owning multiple smart phones including the G1 and blackberry 8900, and have used the I Phone 3GS, I must say I'm surprised this isn't more of a contender in the market.
Design - Thought it would be too small and the keyboard hard to use, however I find that it's quite easy and streamlined once you get use to it. I personally only like phones with the qwerty out already or a virtual, and the keyboard works very well for the size. This is a really big long shot, but think of it as a longer I-pod nano (heck the guy who worked initially at Apple for the Ipod division left and worked at Palm on these projects) with an included keyboard.
(Side Note on Design: The SAR rating for the phone is a little high when it's held up by the head (Near 1.5), but on the side or in pocket it's rated at only .53... I use a bluetooth headset with it anyways, and heck getting a phone with a less SAR rating is not going to "save" somebody if microwave transmissions actually cause issues... other than the psychological torment of knowing you have a device that emits a slightly stronger signal in a certain location)
Quality - Dropped the phone multiple times (including once off a bike going slow) and it has gotten gunk on it. However, after cleaning it off no scratches, scrapes, or anything else wrong with it. However, this is just a matter of luck, but the build quality is very sound.
OS - Web OS has lots of potential and must say even though it's earlier in the Mobile OS line up it's compartively a lot better than Android or "iOS" was at their earlier releases. Web OS looks can be summed up as pretty much as being visually pleasing while having more functionality such as Android. You can further allow for greater customization of the GUI etc by installing and using Preware.
Apps: There are applications available in a library that is growing very slowly (like Android did at first). Plus Homebrew applications (look up) for Web OS are many. WebOS and Android both use a base Linux kernal, but both distributions differ in many ways. The phone also pulls in contacts from your Google Accounts and syncs with Twitter and Facebook quick and easy. The applications are actually not useless or silly... Definitely better than Blackberry's App World in my opinion.
Performance - Single application use is nice and smooth, no major hangups at all. However, if you open certain processor hungry apps up all at once, the device will start to lag. Using a GPS running program for exercise and listening to Pandora through a bluetooth headset cause no problems at all, however if I stop of a second and attempt to load the Camera some lag will occur. If you really need more power (and not just want) look at the pre... for most use it's plenty.
So all in all - If you don't mind buying a device that is technically a year in its lifespan in this world of 2 month evolution routine for smart phones, you owe it to yourself to at least check it out. It stinks that Palm hasn't announced any new devices, and you might be a little wary since they were bought by HP (But they want to do things with WebOS), but as a day to day use smart phone it's surprisingly good... I didn't think I would find as much use out of it as I did. -

Pros: quick access to web, easy to navigate, flash for phone, not much lag time when "clicking"
Cons: Purchased new Pixi 36 days ago. Original phone had a bad ear speaker and didn't accept calls. Returned phone and was supplied a refurbished phone (which had the same earpiece problem). Got a 3rd Pixi, same earpiece buzzing. When will it end.

And to top it off, Sprint only offering to give me a used phone as replacement did not give me a warm fuzzy feeling about Sprint as a provider.
