The good: The Pantech Burst is blessed with 4G LTE, a terrific 4-inch Super AMOLED display, a great 5-megapixel camera, a dual-core 1.5GHz processor, interesting design touches, and a sweet $50 price tag.
The bad: The Burst's call quality and speakerphone are disappointing, battery life is so-so, and you'll need a tool or a set of talons to remove the back cover.
The bottom line: At just $50, the feature-rich Pantech Burst packs in more high-end goodies than you'd expect from a budget LTE phone. However, call quality and battery life aren't its strong suits.

My first smart phone
by goofy1959 on January 27, 2012
Pros: This is my first smart phone my pros & cons will be different from those who have had other smart phones. I like the ease of finding the apps I want to use, the clarity of pictures. I also find the voice quality to be much better then my old phone.
Cons: So far (we have only had our phones for one week)the only con is you have to check to see if you have any app running that you forgot about or it will drain your battery in no time.
Summary: Having never had a smart phone before this review may only be worth anything to others in the same boat. This phone is easy to use and the features are ...
Summary: Having never had a smart phone before this review may only be worth anything to others in the same boat. This phone is easy to use and the features are easy to explore. I think the battery could have been made to last longer. When you buy one make sure to get a car charger too!!!

AT&T's affordable solution to 4G lte service.
by jerrodelliott on February 5, 2012
Pros: 4G lte at $49.99 Affordable and still comparable to other devices at 4x the price (HTC Vivid). Runs on a 1.2 dual core and has Android 2.3 loaded. A 5mp 720p is good enough for a camera phone. 16GB memory internal
Cons: Battery life is short (4 hours) and can get very hot. Only one speaker in the back makes it difficult to hear when using it for navigation or as a speaker phone and there is average noise around.

Summary: In summary, the Pantech Burst is a good compromise for 4G lte technology versus other devises that have the same bandwidth but better cameras. In my opinion, if you want to take pictures or record things, use a camera or a dedicated video recorder. For simple snap shots to load on your social media site a 720P 5MP camera with a 1.3 MP camera in the front if satisfactory. The phone looses a 1/2 star for battery life and not giving it the 1.5 processor but for simple travel use, it does fine. Again, if I wanted to do serious computing or play an intense game, I would use a computer or a dedicated gaming system. This smart phone works fine for what it is intended to do. I can voice call, text, mms and video chat with people on the go and use the 4G lte to find out the answer to whatever my friends and I are arguing about. "Oh yeah! GOOGLE IT!" of course by the time you read this, it will be soooo 17 seconds ago.
