Pantech Duo C810 (AT&T) price range: $188.95

The good: The Pantech Duo has a unique dual-slider design with a slide-out number dialpad plus a QWERTY keyboard. It comes with the Windows Mobile 6 OS as well as a 1.3-megapixel camera, quad-band support, HSDPA, plus access to AT&T's broadband services.
The bad: The Pantech Duo has a cheap plastic body with a flimsy sliding mechanism. The QWERTY keyboard felt flush to the surface and was tricky to use
The bottom line: Even though the Pantech Duo has an impressive feature set that include 3G/HSDPA support, we were ultimately disappointed with its subpar design.

Through it all, its a great phone
by nader16 on August 11, 2009
Pros: Easy access to programs and texting, the keyboard is great and responsive, organizer, music player, multitasking, speaker, very durable.
Cons: deleting messages is weird sometimes, wish the camera was a little better.

Summary: Altogether this phone has been great. I've had it for over a year now. Its great for messaging and for a 1.3megapixel camera its pretty good at taking photos. Its so easy to get to the programs you want. Mine is running windows mobile 6.1 which is great. The speaker is loud when youre playing music which is great. and it has pretty good reception. Ive dropped it a couple times and it works fine. it fell into a tub of water and its still running. Its an awesome phone but ive worn out some of the buttons on the keyboard so they dont work as good anymore. but I would still recommend it to people who know how to work technology. If you dont then this wont be the phone for you. you would probably hate it

Summary: I have this phone right now and i take vvery good care of it, and i'm waiting for my third replacement right now. The first problem was the top screen hinges. they both let go and the screen completely fell off. AT&T wasn't going to replace it, but i pointed out that when i went onto the website after it happened to get a replacement that the recent reviews said the same thing happend to theirs. After that the replacements all had technical problems. they would re-boot on their own in the middle of calls and text messages. The keys were also non-responsive. I would never buy another one of these

Utterly dissapointed
by muffins628 on July 21, 2009
Pros: I like how the phone slides two different ways, and the QWERTYUIOP keyboard is easy for me to use (i have small fingers & i type with my nails)
The zoom when you take pictures is pretty good, and a lot of people like to play with the phone.Cons: The phone breaks/malfunctions a lot, can be quite slow, and while taking pictures, you cant move your hand even a little bit or else the picture is blurry.
Summary: The phone gets scratched & damaged way too easily, the wall charger broke for no reason, it's not very stylish, the keys get jammed sometimes, its really slow, doesnt ...
Summary: The phone gets scratched & damaged way too easily, the wall charger broke for no reason, it's not very stylish, the keys get jammed sometimes, its really slow, doesnt always make a call & sometimes drops calls, has an echo when out on speakerphone, and, most importantly, the phone breaks a lot out of no where. I've had mine replaced 6 times each for a different reason. This phone is WAY too sensitive. I definitely would NOT recommend this phone to anyone.

Slow reaction time coupled with dropped calls
by dane811 on July 2, 2009
Pros: Loud calls, good pictures, QWERTY feature, large display
Cons: Too slow when switching to landscape mode, keys were too flat, battery charge doesn't seem to hold, distorted speakerphone

Summary: I really enjoyed this phone until it started slowing down on me, and then dropping call after call, or simply not showing that I had service. Sometimes, it would take a day to receive text messages or new voicemails. The call quality is overall great, and the volume was pretty good, too. The case is very flimsy, though. It's too easy to open the phone to the qwerty keyboard, and doesn't quite lock in place when closed. This is my second one of these phones - my first one was defective so AT&T sent me another one. I am having problems with this one as well. The screen freezes up when I start some applications (such as Bing/Windows Live), and the only way to fix it is to remove the battery. as far as battery life goes, this isn't a good phone for longevity. It's fine if you don't use it and keep it on standby mode all day, but most people don't. I'm a very active internet, text, and phone user, so I like when my battery lasts at least until I get home from work! I would say that I notice the battery loses it's charge after about an hour of using heavily. I've had phones in the past last longer, so I dislike the battery charge of this phone. The speaker phone on this phone is rather distorted when turned on, and it's hard to heard people if they're talking loud. I also don't enjoy having to use a menu within the call to get to it - I like having a side button. The picture quality of this phone is great because there are so many options you can manipulate, but it is extremely SLOOOOW getting to the camera application. By the time I get to the camera, the once in a lifetime picture has already ended!!

Functionality over Usability
by neottone on June 30, 2009
Pros: I love the Duo aspect. I'm a big fan of slider phones and the querty keyboard is my preference for texting.
Cons: This phone is not the smartest of the bunch, but fun nonetheless. Responsiveness is slow and it can't hold too many programs without extra storage space. It's flaked out a few times, but after a year and a few drops here and there it keeps ticking.
Summary: This phone's greatest feature is the duo options in a small size. It is bulky however in thickness and slow to respond at times. The camera quality isn't ...
Summary: This phone's greatest feature is the duo options in a small size. It is bulky however in thickness and slow to respond at times. The camera quality isn't the best and it only has one output for recharging and an earpiece, hence you can't charge it and talk with an earpiece. Overall, though, it's a fun little phone. I'm looking forward to trying out the Pantech Matrix Pro and hopefully see some improvements in actual operations.

Loved it for the 3 months, then horrible.

Would give me great pleasure to see blown up one day.
by EMRGK on June 3, 2009
Pros: The dual sliding thing is really nice. You can show it off to friends. Especially if you figure out how to make them both slide out at the same time. Which isn't exactly supposed to happen but whatever.
Cons: It feels like it's going all the time. The software on the phone is HORRIBLE. It doesn't delete my texts for me, so they build up and make it slow as mess. It forwards my emails through my text messages. (weird.)
All together. Just plain bad.Summary: This phone is the worst I have had. It constantly fails at sending text messages even if the signal is full. It will forward my emails to people I text ...
Summary: This phone is the worst I have had. It constantly fails at sending text messages even if the signal is full. It will forward my emails to people I text for some reason. This is embarrassing to me and annoying to my friends. It will not allow me to delete texts. At all. This means that the memory is completely taken up by them and the phone is extremely sluggish. As of the last couple weeks it won't save anymore text messages for me. So when i restart the phone (which I have to do a lot because it freezes or won't pick up any signal at all) I am thrown back in time a few weeks. I assume it ran out of place to store them.
I don't know what the pantech people were thinking when they allowed this phone to be marketed. It makes me want to cry. All the time.
