- Though Sprint’s Samsung Galaxy Nexus retains the cache of being an official showpiece for Ice Cream Sandwich, it's no longer the only kid on the block. The fact that Sprint’s LTE network is not operational yet doesn’t help the phone, either.

The good: The Samsung Galaxy Nexus marries the power of the Ice Cream Sandwich with a stock Andorid OS. The phone's beautiful screen and performance are top-notch, and unlike its Verizon counterpart, the Google Wallet payment app is onboard.
The bad: The Galaxy Nexus lacks a slot for expandable memory, the 5-megapixel camera isn't Samsung's best, and battery life could be longer. We’re also still waiting for phone’s connection to Sprint’s LTE network.
The bottom line: Though Sprint’s Samsung Galaxy Nexus retains the cache of being an official showpiece for Ice Cream Sandwich, it's no longer the only kid on the block. The fact that Sprint’s LTE network is not operational yet doesn’t help the phone, either.

(SPRINT or VERIZON).by liwsr1957 on April 30, 2012
Pros: great video, photos, so so on battery life, large storage 32GB
Cons: worst reception I have noticed, I have owned numerous phones in life time and this is one of the worst one. So I have went back to my orginal phone which was HTC EVO. Others under different service company has the same reception problems.

Great if you looking for a video player & not a phone.
by hahatobe on August 16, 2012
Pros: Wonderful colors on screen with great speed.
Cons: If you used the burst mode on the camera and took 20 quick photos it sounded like a machine gun going off. The shutter was so loud even if you had the phone on mute.
Summary: Poor signal issues and loud camera shutter that you couldn't turn off was to much for me to over come even this beautiful looking phone.

Summary: Incredible phone, among the best i've owned (that's quite a few lol). I am a graphic designer living in Atlanta, and i use my Nexus for work on a regular basis. The Nexus's superior specs/OS working in conjunction with AT&T's 4G LTE results in an unparalleled device. Hats off to Google for this engineering marvel.

The Galaxy Nexus is a very reliable phone.
by lpderek on April 26, 2012
Pros: The phone has a spacious 32GB of storage which is VERY nice to have.
The vibrant 720p screen is beautiful to look at, especially when gaming or watching a movie. The speed of switch between apps is beautiful.Cons: Lacking the 4G LTE network around where I live only means I am stuck on 3G. Also the battery dies super quickly in about 4 hours when using it to its full use.

Summary: This was my first phone but I took it back and got an HTC One X. This phone was sluggish and just kind of "dim." When i took it back the sales guy (Best Buy/San Francisco) said I must have a lemon. It couldn't handle 4G LTe (I was/am on AT&T) but worse, it couldn't stay on for long. Just a bad unit, I guess.

My first smartphone and I like it so far!
by KingofCyberia on June 10, 2012
Pros: The screen is larger than any other smartphone out there, which makes it great to watch videos and movies and YouTube. Vivid colors. Decent camera with zoom and video functions. Good speaker on the back. GPS is flawless!
Cons: I had a long wait in hospital and discovered the battery lasts about 4:52 hours, leaving 11% left. Poor reception at times when it drops to 2 bars or less. Phone microphone is a small hole on bottom. No 4G network in Honolulu. Can't get wifi to work.

Summary: If Samsung is able to reduce the thickness in the next model version, it'd be great because it is quite hefty. Google works well with the entire phone, especially Maps and the Navigate apps which are my favorites. I haven't had a chance to sign up for Google Voice, but when I travel out of the country I may need to. And note that many apps in Google Play Store are free, more than in the Apple App Store. The Facebook for Android app won't let me share stuff between pages yet, but sharing a website from Chrome is possible.
For those considering Android versus iPhone: Android lets you put widgets and apps on your home screen. iOS only allows apps. Both operating systems let you change your wallpaper.
