The good: The Samsung Galaxy Note's 5.3-inch HD screen is ideal for showcasing multimedia. It has 4G LTE, a great 8-megapixel camera, and a souped-up S Pen stylus that brings new ways to interact with your phone.
The bad: The Galaxy Note's S Pen is small, has a delayed response, and requires a little training to use. The phone will be awkwardly large for some, and it doesn't fit easily into pockets.
The bottom line: With its huge screen and throwback stylus, the Samsung Galaxy Note is a polarizing smartphone that winks at tablet territory. Those who like their screens XL will find a top-notch device that lets multimedia shine. The S Pen adds some artistic potential, but for some, the phone will just simply be too big.

Total Awesomeness

Pros: Huge Super AMOLED screen, lightening fast
Cons: Nothing that comes to mind, however, it might be too big for people with small hands.

Summary: I switched from T-Mo to AT&T for this phone & I am so glad I did. This phone is the best android phone on the market. It combines the convenience of a phone with the display of a tablet. While some may think of it as too big, I find the screen size to be a real plus. Several people have stopped me when they've seen it and inquired about its size, commenting that it is much easier to read than their 3-in phones. Samsung has another winner.

Unique and different. A phone worthy of surfing.
by Flyguy29 on February 14, 2012
Pros: Fast, screen is great
Cons: 1.5ghz dual core cannot overcome Android's glitchiness. Size is not convenient at time.
Summary: Great for people who are torn between a tablet and smartphone.

Disappointed that CNet continues to review products behind a desk with zero benchmarks on battery, browser speed and gpu. As of now, Razr Maxx still has no battery benchmark, making the review superfluous next to the regular Razr review. At the very least, testing software reliability and crashes- none. Like all other reviews, CNet is waiting for others to do the work.1 out of 1 users found this user opinion helpful.

My dream phone has arrived.
by cmaddox90 on February 19, 2012
Pros: Big screen, handy self storing stylus, calendar app, good battery life, good camera
Cons: Call quality not as good as my iPhone 4.

Summary: I originally had a Cingular 8125 (Windows Mobile) that I was very satisfied with. It used a resistive touch screen with stylus and had handwriting recognition. The only reason I gave it up was because my daughter broke the screen. I replaced it with an iPhone 4 and have been very content with it until I started seeing stories about the Galaxy Note last fall. I pre-ordered one the day it became available and received it two days ago. I love it.
My husband got a Galaxy SII when they first came out because he liked the big screen - now he's jealous of my Galaxy Note.1 out of 2 users found this user opinion helpful.

by ShelbySe on January 30, 2013
Pros: Big screen, amazing calls and videos. Just a great phone in general

Summary: Like i said before, ive had this phone for 10 months, late March early April of '12. But this is the 5th or 6th phone ive had. My first, stopped charging in general, the replacement would randomly shut off and that replacement is what i have now, but i dropped this in water and it still works. At first it didnt, i couldnt make calls or listen to music but it fixed itself or something. But i had already called for a replacement. The replacement charged all night and never turned on again, and the replacements replacement is actually amazing but the system isnt the same, its completely different and my mom has it now. But this one is starting to do what my first did, having to put it in random positions to charge it. And its not the charger, i brought a brand new one and tried it, its the phone. So the phone is amazing, and i love it, i just wish that i knew if im the problem or the phone.

by kdinorbit on November 25, 2012
Pros: Beautiful display, endless fascinating capabilities, s-pen is awesome, good sound
Cons: can't turn off shutter sound on camera (annoying), came with the crappiest ringtones haha, i dropped it once from not very high and it put a small chip in the side

Summary: This phone amazes me every day. It is not only fun to use and explore, but seriously the most interesting gadget I've ever used. I had bought the iphone 5 first, and after 2 weeks of glitches, dropped calls, microphone malfunctions, and boring interface I decided to try out the galaxy. WOW. A world of difference. The iphone seems like a piece of old technology next to this phone/mini computer. I love my galaxy note II, and having the iphone first makes me appreciate this phone that much more. There are so many cool features, like handwriting texts with the s-pen, burst shot photography, can make cool artwork with the s-pen and appropriate applications, the list goes on and I'm still learning. This is the best phone I've ever had by far.

by mormandy3 on September 18, 2012
Pros: Fast processing, no lag.
Good reception (ATT LTE - Phoenix).
Screen size! Even comes with a stylus.
Very light and thin.
Superb picture quality / colors.
Makes your co-workers iphone 5 look like a piddly little toy.Cons: Big...hard for smaller hands to handle. Forget small pockets.
You will buy a silicone case or face a high drop potential.
Screen washes out quite a bit in sunlight.Summary: For those who want bragging rights to the biggest and baddest, this is the one.
