Stands out
by nyboi426 on August 12, 2005
Pros: long battery life, up to 20 days on stand-by, pretty decent mp3 file transfers, very loud volume with the headphones it comes with, can also transfer mp4 files.
Cons: it can only take up to a 128mb portable memory card, mp4 files can't be viewed very well.
Summary: Overall, it is a very good phone, when someone calls you, you can view their image. The stylus can get lost easily if you aren't careful with it. Recommend ...

misrepresented
Pros: Phone Works
Cons: Not compatible with Outlook 2003 as advertised. Only carries 2 of the 3 address fields, for example. I was sold this on a no-return basis by Sony, sign before you can receive it. Only to find it did not fit the specifications advertised. Then having to fi

Not a nokia-killer phone
Pros: As my brother is using it playing with it.Well it has all the features required.Good LCD.Symbian O/S is fast.
Cons: Expensive.Have to use Memory stick(not cheap).Battery problems. Few freeware available.Even paid software cant match upto nokia library.Nokia gives more memory and better features and connectivity.Nokia has got better user interface. But Nokia has already

Great phone but severe PIM and synchronisation limitations
Pros: Works wonderfully as a phone. Ideal size + integration of features + integration of phone and PDA.
Cons: PIM memory allocation is hard-wired which means you can't have more than about 500 contacts, even if you have lots of memory free - stupid design error! Synchronisation software is aweful: very slow (can take 10 minutes for 1 change!); connection to PC vi

Decent spec - bad interface
Pros: Decent camera and video, the screen is ok and it is packed with features.
Cons: Evrything about the interface. It's as if all of the included apps were designed without any knowledge of the hardware it was going to run on. I hate the way the software deals with the flip-keyboard. Palm OS is still the gold standard for clean, intuitiv

I own one for about 2 yrs. Overall still like it.
by gislerma on February 19, 2006
Pros: Integration of Phone and PDA. The naviagtion wheel . No other phone has this. Everytime I check out other brands, this is the one feature I miss on other brands.
Cons: Handwriting recognition is spotty. Cumbersome Software Ergonomics.

Summary: I find the software on this phone cumbersome to use. E.g. Copying and pasting information from one application to the other requires one to click through the menu system again when switching back and forth. Synchronization with Outlook 2003 works ok, but not all fields are synchronized: eg. 'Company' field in Outlook. If you update the PC Software Suite for this phone with the version, Sony Ericsson posted on ther Website, I found synchronisation not to work reliably anymore.
The fact, that it only supports Sony's memory stick is a negative.
I find the screen and it's resolution after 2 yrs still adequate.
Handwriting recognition is spotty, but this is still a nice feature for on the go. Would prefer voice recording with some speech to text.
Looked at P910 and find the new flip with a alphanumeric keys too toyish.
I do not like the Palm Treo or Blueberry formfactor.
I looked at some of the new Windows Mobile devices. Regarding Software Ergonomics, these are much better than Symbian/UIC. I basically wait for a Smartphone with the P900 formfactor and the Windows Mobile operating environment and GLOBAL compatibility regarding the cellular networks. -
