The good: The ZTE Avid 4G has LTE connectivity, runs on Android 4.0, and requires no contract.
The bad: The Avid 4G's display can be unresponsive and it has a noticeably blue tint; call quality is mediocre; and the phone's processor is slow.
The bottom line: Though the Avid features Ice Cream Sandwich and operates on MetroPCS 4G network, the carrier has other LTE devices that are faster, smoother, and sometimes, even cheaper.

Pros: Camera with Led flash and autofocus is main attraction in this phone.

The screen is bright when playing movies and to be honest my family members like ROOTING the Androids- but I can't imagine needing root on this phone because it has everything I can imagine using- already... the only apps I have added were games.
This phone has a dual core 1.2gig 2gigs internal mem- microsd card slot (empty)....its fast and screen is sensitive and responsive.
It costs 149.00 off contract...so that is amazing...
This phone is pretty nice for the price and 4G and a decent camera with a "flashlight" is something I needed.
The phone is slippery- so you need a case for it most likely.
I love it. 4G Ice Cream Sandwich -fast web unlimited talk text and data...

Summary: This phone has a strong built with reasonable price. The Avid 4G comes with two cameras, 5-megapixel camera on the back and a VGA camera on the front. With 800 by 480 screens, you can have really fun with web browsing, emails, gaming. Reception is very strong; Battery life is very good, at 10 hours, 8 minutes of continuous talk time. Audio and video playback works really fine.

Summary: ZTE CEO Lixin Cheng is in charge of North America ZTE operations. Under his control, cheap phones are sold in the usa market. Many phones quit working or work improperly, and they do not honor warranty as advertised.
My ZTE phone quit working after 2 months. I sent it back to ZTE for repair of bad ear receiver. Only external speaker and bluetooth worked. After 17 days of waiting without a phone, I received my ZTE phone with ear receiver still broken. I called and demanded a replacement phone immediately and they told me to return it for service again.
Do not purchase ZTE unless you are prepared to be without a phone for several weeks and possibly receive it back in the same condition that you sent it.
