- Bottom Line:
- Though the ZTE Score makes satisfying calls, the phone's main selling point, Muve Music, has a long way to go. The spotty network connection and internal lag time weren't worth the unlimited song downloads. A combination of a quality phone and another cloud music service is the better approach.

The good: The ZTE Score is sturdily built but light. Call quality is decent.
The bad: The Score's display is frustratingly unresponsive and the processor is sluggish. Muve Music's interface is cumbersome.

Cons: Battery not good at all they told me it was way better!! NOT! Can't use a regular SD card in these phones NOT GOOD my opinion that's the whole point of an SD card! You can bluetooth it YAY that's takes forever. They dont tell you that part!

Summary: I'm very disappointed, I went to pay my bill very happy with the phone I had but one thing the battery was terrible besides that best phone I had from them. Now they tell me they will sell me an upgrade Android for 30 dollars the Muve Music phone which I didn't have before. So I said ok yea I will try that I liked the size of it. I discovered you can't use a normal SD card you must use only a MUVE SD card so basically if you buy any other phone that isn't a MUVE music phone u can't transfer SD cards. I mean that's the whole point of them. Also I keep getting dropped calls NO signal every place I go. My other phone had no problems, I call Cricket go back to the store and they give me another phone and say it had a glitch I'm HAVING the same problems. If I try to update a contact or add it wont let me save not always but usually. Now they won't refund the phone totally unexceptable I'm very disappointed. I always gave cricket good reviews now I'm HEATED at the service. So basically i'm stuck with this phone that has NO SIGNAL in my own home I have to walk out front to talk. NEVER had this issue. Disgusted!!!! I ask to have my other phone reactivated and they say they can't do that because it's off the market and been recalled why wasn't I notified???? I have no problems just the battery with the old phone and that's why they took it off the market it. BS so a manager just told me they will give me something off on another android they will not refund the phone. Again DISGUSTED ... thanks alot CRICKET FOR screwing me out of money and lying to me. It's also suppose to come with a USB charger it says so on the BOX however didn't even get that OR an SD card as it states on the box and when I asked WHY they said they no longer do that for these phones. However when I call customer service they say thats not true. Talk about a SCAM I've been with them for 8 yrs never an issue NOW I'm changing service if they don't fix this issue and it seems they aren't! Thanks ALOT!

by twilhelmsatx on July 24, 2012
Pros: Good size screen. Lots of free apps. Nice size, fits comfortably in my hand.
Cons: 1) Battery - the worst battery I have ever seen in a phone.
2) Internal memory is not enough.
3) Memory - Woefully lacking.
4) Sound - Terrible.
5) You CANNOT, repeat CANNOT, connect this phone to a laptop with Windows 7 on it.Summary: Had a ZTE phone with Cricket before, but it is too old to use now. Bought the Score online because of price and brand. BIG mistake. I am really thinking ...
Summary: Had a ZTE phone with Cricket before, but it is too old to use now. Bought the Score online because of price and brand. BIG mistake. I am really thinking about getting a non smartphone to replace this one. Not sure if it will be a ZTE or not.
FYI - I have 5 years of end user tech support experience, some at the management level. I know how to evaluate things. If this were a test item at work I would tell them to start over.1 out of 1 users found this user opinion helpful.

Summary: Was told this was the best phone out there by the sales person didn't even have it a month before it was glitching went in to have it looked at and they tried to say I did something to the phone they installed a couple of apps and said it was fixed ha never worked right took it back in and they replaced the phone saying I should take better care of the phone well 2 months later and having serious problems now the phone can' be charged at all so basically the phone can only be used if its plugged in in the car cause the wall charger drains the phone went back in and they said that i must have plugged it in someplace with out a surge protector cause it melted the area where the cord plugs into the phone so once again its my fault. I have been with cricket for 10 yrs and never had a problem now I have problems every month and its always my fault and they try to avoid taking responsibility for the piece of crap phone wish I could go back and never purchase this phone now I'm stuck with a phone that has to be replaced at least every 2 months

The phone has constantly cut itself off ever since I've had it. My first time dropping it was like 2 weeks after I got in a case and it was doing way before then. The phone shuts off when in use or not in use. I've had numerous times where I've laid the phone on the counter or on the bed and come back to find it off and have to restart the phone over again. And I'm not the only one with this problem. Hundreds, if not thousands, of people have had the same problem and it's quite annoying because you're in a situation where you can't use your phone for long periods of time, you never know how long it's been off or who's been trying to reach you.
Too many system errors to count. One being that I've must have set my ringtone a thousand times to the same default ringtone and set up various different ringtones for certain contacts and the phone still finds a way to change the ringtones to whatever it likes.
Another error is that stupid phone never recognizes the true space left on the internal memory. It's told many times that I have 0 mb left on the internal memory only to go back and find that I have 14 mb still left. Also, when it internal memory does get too low and you uninstall some apps to make room, you still get that annoying "Low memory" at the top of the status bar and cannot install anything else until you restart the phone.
Bottom line.......SUCKY PHONE!!!!! Never buying a Cricket made phone again.1 out of 1 users found this user opinion helpful.

Entry level Android that does what it's supposed to!
by AmericanFrog on May 23, 2012
Pros: It's an Android phone that responds well, sounds great, takes awesome pics, is easy to navigate and you can in fact upgrade the SD card! Large screen and resolution is clear and crisp. Colors vibrant, touch screen very sensitive.
Cons: Only one: the battery

Summary: The bad reviews are from folks who are trying to compare an entry level, low end phone to ones at the higher end of the spectrum. Sure, its processor isn't up to speed with others, but IT DOESN'T HAVE TO BE. Jeez, if you're not willing to wait a second or two more, than go buy a phone that does exactly the same for triple the price - or more. This phone offers a whole new mobile experience for a fraction of the cost. Now, I can get in my car, plug the phone into my adapter, and listen to radio from the other side of the planet while driving. The Cricket service where I live is saturated with coverage and wherever I have traveled it's been reliable and there for me. Never a dropped call, GPS is the BEST I have ever had, voice mail super easy to use and downloaded apps make it all the better if needing to make up for anything pre-installed that you may not like. Don't believe the negative comments here OR the CNET review. All in all, the ONLY thing wrong is the battery. EVERYTHING else is awesome. They just want you to go out and buy something more expensive that offers the same. Only a little bit faster with a better battery. ZTE SCORE ROCKS!! I LOVE THIS PHONE!! :)

More pros than cons.
by Mechy20 on April 30, 2012
Pros: The apps are easy to find, download and install. Unlike some people I have never had a problem with reception, the phone rebooting, or locking up. Muve Music works great but I use Pandora more now. Internet is faster also.
Cons: The battery does drain quickly, but you can purchase extended batteries pretty cheaply or keep it charged when it's just sitting. Memory is an issue too but can be upgraded with a larger microSD card.
Summary: All in all I like the versatility and options available. With more battery and memory the phone would be fantastic for the price. For now it will work but I ...

Summary: This Cricket ZTE SMARTPHONE was by far the most unenjoyable experience I have ever endured...also attached with the less than stellar customer service that I have recieved equates to a lost of a customer from the entire cricket family...furthermore an federal investigation should be launched into the conducivness of Cricket's tele-communicational capabilities and it would hihlight the situation if the CRICKET'S ZTE SMARTPHONE be held up as the prime example of direct ineptatuded of a product launched on a national level...that is all I can continue to say on this topic because as I type this review my blood pressure rises...which equates to complete toxicity...(from a paid up customer who is on his SECOND CRICKET ZTE SMARTPHONE that doesn't work toatally DISGUSTED) !!!

ZTE sells unreliable products.

Summary: ZTE sells unreliable pieces of crap and call them cell phones. If you get more than 2 months before you run into problems then you are very lucky. If your ZTE cell phone fails, get ready to pony up cash to mail it back to them. And they won't ship a replacement either. They will tie up your phone for 3 weeks and likely return it in the same condition, like they did with mine.
ZTE CEO Lixin Cheng can not be reached via telephone to complain. If you try to call the USA corporate office all you will get is an answering machine. And google search for the corporate address only shows a street view of a small office building. Obviously, this is some virutal office to make ZTE appear that it has a USA presence.
Their deception of a corporate office speaks volumes about their deception or selling reliable cell phones.
ZTE is running into problems all around the globe. Its just a matter of time before they pull out of USA. US congress is not smiling approvingly upon ZTE either. ZTE has problems of poor management and poor craftsmanship.
