- The $199 ZTE Warp may sound like a cutting-edge smartphone from the future, but it's really an entry-level Android handset with modest speeds, slow 3G data, and a basic camera. On Boost Mobile's no-contract service, however, it fits in well.

ZTE Warp (Boost Mobile) price range: $99.99 - $129.99

The good: The ZTE Warp offers a solid Android Gingerbread experience, rich call quality, and a conservative design, all for an affordable $199 on Boost Mobile's prepaid, no-contract cellular service.
The bad: The Warp's price is high when you take into account the more capable, faster devices available on traditional carriers.
The bottom line: The $199 ZTE Warp may sound like a cutting-edge smartphone from the future, but it's really an entry-level Android handset with modest speeds, slow 3G data, and a basic camera. On Boost Mobile's no-contract service, however, it fits in well.

It's a decent phone for the price and features.
by android117 on January 4, 2012
Pros: I like the large screen that allows you to run smoothly trough your apps. The 5mp camera it's pretty good for the price either. Also when you use landscape mode it makes it really easy to text even if you have big fingers.
Cons: If this is your first smartphone you'll have to get used to the short battery life that they offer, you'll find this in most smartphones. It doesn't have a front camera like the samsung ultra.
Summary: Overall it is a decent phone for the price and the service. My biggest complaint would be the battery life, I''m still trying to get used to smartphones short ...

Great phone until you need to warranty the phone.
by Sabbre on August 7, 2012
Pros: no pros as far as I am concerned.
Cons: ZTE customer service is terrible. They do not stand behind their phones. Communication is terrible, you are lucky if you can get a hold of anyone you can understand. All calls are directed to India

Summary: BUYER BEWARE! Boost Mobile is good for what it is; a low cost, all inclusive, no contract service provider. No frills. Boost Mobile does NOT handle warranty issues, or any customer service for any of the phones that they sell outside of the 30 day return policy. If you have a warranty issue you will be forced to deal directly with the manufacture. ZTE toll free number puts you in contact with a representative in India. Email customer service was worse also not english speaking responses. After two months I am still in the process of trying to get my phone replaced. ZTE at this point is only willing to repair it even though I have already sent it in for repair and they didn't fix it the first time. In conclusion, buy anything other than a ZTE product. Preferably from a reputable company with proven and results oriented customer service. BUYER BEWARE!

This is the worst phone i have EVER purchased.
by immaddd on August 4, 2012
Pros: I love the big screen. Its not super heavy or bulky. Overall I really liked the phone the four days i had it.
Cons: After having the phone for less than a week, my soft keys stopped working. Honestly it hasn't been dropped not even once. They light up but they do not work what so ever. I have to turn my phone off to get back to the home screen with any thing I do.
Summary: It would be nice to get a replacement. I am so upset. Ever time i call boost mobile they say there is nothing they can do. So can any one ...

Summary: I bought this phone because of the bigger screen and internal memory. My luck, that is all I really got out of it. I hate this phone, I don't have an OEM speech to text, my apps crash when ever I play them, or freezes up while playing a game, etc. I miss My Samsung Prevail! I am going back to Samsung, but into a different provider. Yeah $40 a month is awesome for unlimited everything, but but for better customer service, and service I am going with Verizon's Samsung Galaxy SIII

SAVE YOURSELF!!! Do not waste your time on this phone!

Summary: I have had this phone for less than a month and it has been more bad than good. I have had my fair share of phones, all different brands (about 15) and services (5) and I am pretty easy on them. I usually update when some new software comes out. This phone has pretty much been the worst one yet. I definitely DO NOT recommend it!
The display: I give it about an 8. The graphics are pretty good and the display is bright. It does have a glare on it when using it out in sunlight. I tend to turn my display down to 25% to save battery life and in order to see the screen clearly I need to turn it to at least 50%. Its good but not pristine.
The camera is descent. If you are in bad light you wont get any advantage out of the flash!
Battery: I am a heavy app user and I have witnessed my battery decrease 15% in 3 minutes just using twitter! -.- ***?! I charged my phone right before I went to sleep, and immediately checked the battery when I woke up (to see how far the battery would go down just on stand-by), I was at 40%. If you can live without 3G then the battery life is commendable! My phone lasted 8hrs with only a 20% decrease.
Text input: My uncle and dad used my phone fairly well seeing they have big fingers. I personally hate the new android layout for this phone - I cannot turn predictive text off, so I had to download a whole new text application to use!
My phone CONSTANTLY freezes!!!!!! I thought the other reviewers were exaggerating, but they were giving understatements!!! In the first 24 hours of getting the phone it froze twice. In the month+ that I have had it, it has frozen AT LEAST once a week, sometimes when Im not even doing anything. It also randomly restarts all the time.
The phone also randomly plays music from my collection! I mean it stats even when I have closed out of the program. It can be embarrassing if you are in the wrong place at the wrong time!
I get very bad signal in places I shouldn't (they worked with my Samsung Transform- same service).
The speed, build, and call quality are pretty decent. I have nothing bad to say, but nothing to brag about either!!!
Overall, this phone is NOTHING to brag about!!! I would definitely go for something else. The phone is not worth the price for all the aggravation - it effects the everyday use. Please save yourself the hassle! I wish someone would have saved me.
