Summary: Bought this a few days ago from a pawn shop for 39.00 , did i get a deal or what? had no idea how good it would sound but needed a new sub when my sony blew. I am thoroughly impressed... it makes my surround sound complete and is miles better than my old sony.... highly recommended... a++++++

Great subwoofer for a home theater set up.

Pros: Enhanced the bass output of my home theater very nicely. For under $100, this sub is worth every penny.
Cons: No standby mode (auto off/on).

Summary: Recently upgraded to a new AVR, the yamaha Rx-v671. Still using my old AR speakers for my home theater, but never had a subwoofer to compliment it - the ARs always delivered very good bass on their own. But I've been nagging myself to get a sub, even if it's just an inexpensive one. The positive reviews on this sub convinced me to give it a try. Had the AVR recalibrate the speaker settings with the new sub and am really happy with the result. I stuck The Dark Knight into the blu-ray and the low end was significantly enhanced. I'm sure one can get a better sub, but for under $100, this sub works wonderfully with my home theater set up. I almost didn't pick this one up because it lacks an auto shut off, but after hearing it, I'm willing to overlook that minor annoyance. No crossover settings either, but that wasn't a concern of mine either since I'm using it solely for movie watching in my home theater.

Mind blowing sound indeed

Pros: Very powerful bass making you feel the sound. Solid quality case and plenty connectivity at the back.
Cons: Real heavy big box
