  Great little speaker

  Pros: These are very small and lite (2.9 lbs) and sound much larger. Good bass for such small drivers but better with a sub.

  Cons: Not much, maybe something else besides shinny gloss black, shows every finger print and that the maid hasn't been in. They do clean up fairly easy with a DAMP cloth while on wall mounts.

  Summary: Speakers are subject to one's ears and what they expect from the speaker. Being small I expected little bass and was surprised by the amount. For watch TV news very clear, for sports again clear but for commercials with real bass a sub is in order. Movies and DVD concerts a sub IS needed but most any good sub will match up well with these. Have used a BIC (model F-12) and a JBL (ES 150) with the JBL winning out. Both can be over powering (22'X19' room) but the JBL was easier to control. Have used these with only one receiver (Sony is in mothball) so I'm using a Harman Kardon AVR 1565 and the speakers sound outstanding. For me banana plugs
  were just the icing the as I wanted to wall mount these. I don't recommend hanging it flush on the wall as they have ports but wall mounts will get the speaker off the wall. On wall does not help the sound and it becomes muddy. Energy says two feet but my fronts are wall mounted roughly 8" off the all with the rears ceiling mounted roughly 8" from the rear wall and angled down. Are they prefect, probably not, what is? For the size and amount of room they require one would be to spend much more for this quality of speaker.
