The good: Pod-shaped cast-aluminum cabinets; advanced tweeter-in-woofer design; the 10-inch, 250-watt powered subwoofer features rarely seen bass-tuning features.
The bad: Don't mate this system with less than the best-sounding receivers.
The bottom line: The KHT 2005.2 speaker system is a remarkable combination of exceptional design and audiophile quality.

Sounds great - warning about color of sub

Summary: Wanted to write to point out something that is slightly misleading in the way Kef is marketing this system in the U.S. and the cnet review, which states that the sub is available in black or silver. In the U.S., Kef sells the system with the PSW 2150, a sub that is only available in a black finish. In Europe, it is sold with the PSW2010, a sub that is available in Black or Silver.
It is possible to get the 2010 in the U.S. but you have to specifically ask for that sub. Simply stating you want the system in silver is not enough. Many retailers won't even know what you are talking about. I had just ordered a system, when it shipped, I got the black sub. The retailer told me that was the only sub available. I had to show him the website and call Kef America. That is where I learned of the difference in marketing to the U.S. and European sector (the Kef America portion of the website does state that the sub is available only in black, but only if you click on the technical specs of the subwoofer; otherwise it still shows multiple pictures of the sub in silver). I was told I could get the 2010 but that I should have requested it specifically. Of course, there was nothing to indicate to me that I did anything other than that when I said I wanted the system in silver. Long story short, I shipped the 2150 back to Kef and received a 2010. But we are still arguing over who should pay the shipping costs.
If you order one of these systems, specifically tell the retailer that you want the PSW2010 in silver. They may tell you they don't carry that. Tell them that it is available as an option and that they should call Kef America to confirm.1 out of 1 users found this user opinion helpful.

Summary: I Work at Circuit City. where we have the 3005's on display. Kef's are the main speakers i sell to high end customers , becuase its hard to find speakers that sound this good and are this small. I personally think the 2005 sub sounds better, though i can tell a differnce between the satellites. I have the Denon 987 reciver. and with these paired together i can bring the house down

Great 5.1 Home Theater Satelite Speakers

Summary: First of all .... check www.kef.com for order online. The price is now dropped a lot. KEF KHT2005.2 is the later model of KHT series and it is going to be replaced by KHT3005. That's why the price is dropped a lot especially the silver color. It was around $1,500 few years ago.
Whoever is considering to buy home theater sattelite speaker (especially who are considering BOSE), you must listen KEF KHT2005.2. Is it your taste? Well..you will decide by yourself. But you will be regret if you don't listen 2005.2 before making decision.
My friend who are serious amature of audiophile more than 30 years came to my home and listen to this set. His comment is "best satelite speaker for music I have ever heard".
I have a chance to listen to KEF KHT3005 and I accept that it is really wonderful. But I am pretty sure that the quality of 2005.2 is not different to 3005 in small room (like 9x9 feet). But now you pay only half of 3005. However, if budget is not your problem, you go for 3005. It absoultely beats all BOSE's satelite system and many famous bookshelf speakers in the market. -

Summary: Got this package based on Cnet and other review's. Auditioned this at a local dealer, he used a lower end Onkyo Integra , the speakers sounded good. But what a difference after setting these eggs with my brand new Marantz 7400 at home, this is an awesome speaker package, but as others (including Cnet) say drive them using a good receiver( NAD or Marantz).
