2010 Acura MDX price range: $53,755.00

The good: With an advanced all-wheel-drive system and active suspension, the 2010 Acura MDX handles like a sports car. Voice command for iPods, blind-spot warning, adaptive cruise control, and an excellent audio system round out the cabin tech.
The bad: The navigation system's maps are the same old chunky things we've seen for years from Acura, and the engine is a throwback to the previous generation as well.
The bottom line: With bumped-up luxury appointments in the cabin, an advanced cabin tech suite, and unexpectedly good handling, the 2010 Acura MDX provides driving satisfaction for leisurely cruises and mountain romps.

By far the most comfortable in it's class
by eichler34 on October 28, 2010
Pros: Soft yet supportive seating, beautiful cabin, one of the easiest voice enabled navigation systems out there, perfect size for our kids sports tournaments.
Cons: The exterior looks a little bit bland

Summary: My wife wants a new car, and we've looked at this, the Acura ZDX, Infiniti FX35, Cadillac SRX. Out of the cars listed, we like the way this one looks the least. The Acura ZDX has the most comfortable seating ever invented, but the size and trunk space just wasn't enough for our kids tournaments. the Infiniti is gorgeous and plush, but lacks the size and was noticeably more stiff than the MDX. The Caddy is full of awesome technology and is our favorite looking car, but was the stiffest ride of the bunch. The MDX is so much more comfortable than the others we almost no longer care that it's the most bland looking exterior. It pulls off the ability to have a lot of storage without being oversized. If they could have made the exterior a little more stylish, I would give it 5 stars.

Best car my family has ever owned.
by sornrasug on August 3, 2010
Pros: The packages that come with the 2010 MDX have a lot to offer for a decent price. There are also a lot of great accessories for the interior and exterior of the car.
Cons: The backseats are uncomfortable and for the most part can only be used by small children.
Summary: The 2010 MDX comes at a great price for what it has to offer. However most people think the front fascia looks terrible. Well, I don't know what people ...

Performance, Comfort, Technology & .... Reliability.

Summary: Owned the Tech/Entertainment package for 1 week. The most notable impression it leaves you with is the excellent all around build quality. It also handles very well for any size of vehicle, let alone a 7 seat SUV, combining bump-absorbing ride with the ability to actually handle a corner aggressively. You know you're not driving a truck, unlike some others that we test-drove. The 2 front rows carry 5 in complete comfort, with excellent lateral support in the seats. The 3rd row is fine for the kids, but would benefit immensely from even another inch or two of legroom. So too with the rear storage when the 3rd seat is up - just not very functional if you're actually carrying anything of any significant size (a roof box will be a necessity for us for long trips as we have 3 kids). And the technology...you will absolutely have to read the owner's manual to effectively use even half of what this vehicle provides. Once you do, however, you won't need to read it again. I've used other navigations systems, but none have even come close to Acura's.
Their voice recognition system is better than anything else I've seen. But even if you prefer to interface with it manually, it just works. And the handsfree Bluetooth link for the phone is, as far as I'm concerned, the most important convenience feature invented for the car since power windows (and maybe even bigger than that), and Acura's just works flawlessly. It is easy to setup and never loses the connection. You really don't need to touch the phone whenever you're in the car.
Perhaps the most perplexing thing about the car is the strangely soft steering feel that they've chosen for it, something that we will get used to but which, when you first drive it, you notice constantly. That is the only thing keeping me from giving this review 5 stars, however, and ultimately not something that either prevented us from buying it or that is seriously detracting from the ownership experience. I wanted a vehicle that offered the handling and initial build quality of the luxury European brands, with the long-term reliability of the Japanese brands. And that's what we got. -
MDX 2010 IS SMOOTH!!!
by donmachete67 on March 21, 2010
Pros: I recently bought the mdx base model and it's an excellent riding vehicle. Handling and performance surpassed my expectations.
Cons: The base model should come with a better music system and USB connection for Ipod users like myself. Front seat headrest are a little uncomfortable needs to have better adjustments.
Summary: Will get again and will go for tech package.

Why? Why such a silly looking happy face on the front?

Cons: I have two acuras already but I will need to wait until they get rid of that silly looking happy face before buying my third one.

unless this is heavily subsidized with low low lease terms and no down payments many of us will not be looking at it
the styling is getting to be the same old same old except with wierd front (and back) designs as if the designers were just bored and doodled around with 25 designs on their computers and someone misunderstood the consensus from the nth meeting and picked the wrong one to put into production
Why does the front remind of one of those cartoon cars from the movie "CARS" ? : same applies to the TL, ZDX, and RDZ from Acura/Honda0 out of 2 users found this user opinion helpful.
