2010 Mitsubishi Outlander GT price range: $29,250.00

The good: With its advanced all-wheel-drive system, the 2010 Mitsubishi Outlander GT shows remarkable stability in slippery conditions. Cabin tech includes a loud Rockford Fosgate audio system, voice controlled iPod integration, and navigation with traffic avoidance.
The bad: A high center of gravity limits quick cornering capabilities, and the engine does not live up to the promise of performance made by the GT label.
The bottom line: As a recreational vehicle, the 2010 Mitsubishi Outlander GT offers practicality in slippery conditions, and its cabin tech outpaces many competitors.

Third row is a joke
by zander001 on December 9, 2011
Pros: Good on gas.
Cons: Metal and material is all the back seat is. Customer service didn't seem to be concerned. I was asked why I didn't notice it when I purchased it.

Absolutely great car!
by evilnewbie on December 9, 2010
Pros: 1) Great handling, it corners like a car with awesome turning radius (yes, I disagree with CNET) 2) Nice front electronic display 3) Better cargo space than most compact SUVs 4) Navigation + Rear entertainment center 5) Keyless entry + keyless start
Cons: 1) Direct light onto the Navi will make it hard to see 2) No captain's chair armrest 3) Need more space for headsets of rear entertainment system 4) Flimsy third row seating 5) Need power front passenger seat 6) Needs space for garage door openers

Summary: I really like this car and have driven it for about three weeks now. I have driven lots of sedans and this car corners better than most of them with GREAT turning radius... very similar to a RAV4. Could use better gas mileage and a stronger engine but it will accelerate when you need it (I have the V6 engine). I like the AWD option (I have the GT trim). It has great options that you won't find in similar type compact SUVs like rear entertainment system. The cargo space rivals that of the RAV4 which is among the largest space in compact SUVs. The displays are nice and the keyless entry/start is simply awesome... I love having to never have to take out the keys....
The ride quality is a bit harsher than it could be, you will feel those bumps but that can be expected with 18 inch wheels. Although it has substantial storage space, the space tends to be to small for the included headsets for the rear entertainment system. I have driven over 1k miles on the car and it definitely needs the captain chair armrest but it does have a weak substitute with the central storage compartment that moves in and out (but not much). You won't be using the third row seating, its probably there just for looks... I wish I could put my garage door openers somewhere, the sun visor is a bit "thick" and makes it look odd on there... A frustrating problem (among many other cars as well) is the weak lcd screen for the navigation, it doesn't do well in bright light... The leather option is great but I wish there was "more" leather on the surfaces rather than plastic...
Overall, it gives great bang for the buck and is remarkably similar to the RAV4 and CRV... The reasons I picked the Outlander over the other two is better price and the availability of a factory-installed rear entertainment system.... The RAV4 does have better gas mileage and a stronger engine but I found the dealers to be less than friendly with pricing... -
well designed, well equipped, great driving CUV.
by edwinagustin on August 23, 2010
Pros: technology packed, stable ride and handling, competetively priced.
Cons: road noise can be more muted, could use auto dimming mirrors.

Summary: have had this vehicle for 2 months. enjoying fast key, Rockford Fosgate audio, HD nav with RTT and diamond lane guidance, FUSE, rear view back up camera, overall design, flap fold rear tailgate, HID headlamps with manual adjusters. still learning a few other capabilities. seems well put together. ride is a little on the stiff side, but handling is good. engine gets raucous when pushed hard. tranny very smooth. overall very pleased with vehicle. have had very good luck with mitsubishi - very reliable vehicles. (within the family, have had 2 galants, 2 lancers, 1 endeavor, 1 montero sport - all have been very reliable).

I still love a Mitsubishi
by RukiyaBelagam on August 18, 2010
Pros: I had a montero for about 4 years until my bro totaled it.
It ran like a tank and it was just a wonderful car.
I have a land rover now but I think this outlander looks great!Cons: It probably is a gas guzzler but who care it looks great and can off road!
Summary: Buy it if you like it. It will probably last for 200,000 miles. My montero did and I miss it everyday!

Good, affordable mini-SUV w/tons of available features
by deandiggler on August 12, 2010
Pros: Available features (Howard Stern on Sirius, navigation, back-up camera, blue-tooth, fast-key, stereo, usb port, sun-roof, third row seating, paddle shifters, heated seats), Styling (a beefed up Lancer), AWD, Transmission, decent engine
Cons: Has had a couple rattles (third row seating is the culprit), relatively poor gas mileage, somewhat difficult to see out of

Summary: If you are looking for an affordable AWD vehicle with lots of features, this is a good option. It is not going to win many drag races, but it is not underpowered either. Decent handling make it fun to drive. Seats lay down, so you can take home pigs (if that's your thing).
