Used in combination with the 3Com Wireless Switch Manager and up to 3 3Com Managed Access Points, users can remotely configure and manage the WLAN, removing the need for IT expertise onsite. It features two ports, one with PoE connectivity and can support three managed access points, local or external RADIUS authentication, and integrates seamlessly with other 3Com wireless switches and controllers. Innovative Identity-Based Networking services based on user identity instead of ports or devices, allows uninterrupted roaming and wireless voice over IP. Mobility Domain architecture lets controllers and switches share databases, adding a new level of user and group access control to enterprise-wide network resources, including remote offices. Sharing user-specific security policies between WLAN controllers and switches can result in a consistent enforcement of user and group attributes across the WLAN as the user roams
