Utilizing ASIC-based architecture, 3Com's unique BRASICA Chip drives the cost of Fast Ethernet switching down to an affordable price without compromising features. The SuperStack II Switch 3000 10/100 Switch also offers an optional high-speed slot for an additional Fast Ethernet port (copper or fiber), ATM and Gigabit Ethernet support. An exceptional level of functionality is built-in including VLAN support for workgroup segmentation; full SNMP management with RMON for proactive network management; integration into Transcend Network Management; resilient links and spanning tree to protect against cable and equipment failures.
