The Vertical Horizon VH-4802 provides 48 RJ45 ports of wire-speed 10/100Base-TX connectivity for the connection of high-performance workstations, file servers, desktop switches and shared access workgroup hubs. Two option slots for modular 100Base-FX and 1000Base-X uplinks allow customers flexibility in their backbone connections. Wire-speed performance on all ports and industry-leading features allow the VH-4802 to integrate into small to medium-size networks as well as providing ideal enterprise edge switching solutions. The Vertical Horizon VH-4802 is Secure Harbor compliant supporting MAC-based port security, with future firmware support for the new emerging user-based security/authentication standard IEEE 802.1x. Convergence ready, with plug-and-play installation, advanced network management and standards-based switching features, the VH-4802 an industry leaders in its class.
