absolute crap

Pros: Size
Cons: absolute crap, I knew I should not have bought another, crappy drives always going out. I would recommend Ibm or Hitachi drives or any other higher end drive at that point. If you want something that lasts.

Drives are not reliable

Pros: Great throughput, quiet
Cons: Runs hot and unreliable I've used Maxtor drives for years and these are the worst I've seen. I bought a pair and started some basic tests. Sometimes they fail during XP's format. Other times the surface verifiction finds problems. I've run their powerma

Excellent investment in a large capacity hard drive

Pros: 8 Mb buffer and large capacity. Set was easy (first time I've ever installed a harddrive)The unit is quiet.
