Acer Iconia Tab A100 (16GB) price range: $252.00

The good: The 7-inch Acer Iconia Tab A100 provides a full Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich) experience and its price is lower than those of some of the best 7-inch tablets out there. Its HDMI-out, hardware screen lock, and expandable memory options are welcome extras.
The bad: The tablet screen's viewing angle is narrow and the battery drains quickly. Also, you could get a 10-inch tablet for less than $100 more.
The bottom line: The Acer Iconia Tab A100 offers a full Android 4.0 experience on a 7-inch tablet and can now be found at a very affordable price.

GREAT tablet!
by Babblin5 on September 26, 2011
Pros: Reviewer doesn't have a clue...
Cons: Better than what the review says, period.

An awesome little tablet!
by StevenHood1964 on March 17, 2012
Pros: Great size. Does everything you could want it to do.
Cons: Nothing at all!

Great small tablet.
by MohamedBhimji on November 25, 2011
Pros: Size. I have an iPad, but like the 7" more. Compact, can put it into my jacket.
Cons: Screen seems too dark at times.
Summary: Now available for $299.99 in Canada and in the US, for the price it's not a bad deal. I expect that it will drop to around $249.99 ...
Summary: Now available for $299.99 in Canada and in the US, for the price it's not a bad deal. I expect that it will drop to around $249.99 which will make it an even better buy. I haven't run into battery issues with it as yet, but I don't tax it as much.

good value
by rocket7777 on October 26, 2011
Pros: Good screen size. Not only that it is CHEAPER than 10" ones that are way way more bulkier to carry around.
At 10" level, some people may prefer keyboard and cheaper netbook.
Size is preference NOT value. For example iphone with junk 3.7" small screensCons: Screen viewing angle and brightness. I tend to use things various ways. So sometimes handheld, sometimes on table, sometimes like a picture frame, sometimes portrait etc.

Just bought at Walmart for $278!
by lovemysportbike on August 16, 2011
Pros: I love the size, I have a droid X phone and a mac at home so use and like both OS. The reality is that a 10.1 inch tablet does not fit in my pocketbook. This wonderful 7 inch tab is perfect for on the go and works great with most apps from the Android Ma
Cons: It is so new that no one is making cases for it yet. I have found that it is the exact same length as the original Nook and only about 1/4 inch narrower in width, so have opted for a Nook case that works great.
Summary: One of only two 7 inch tablets running on Honeycomb 3.2, the other is the Vizio which only runs on a single processor. Fantastic device that does all that ...
Summary: One of only two 7 inch tablets running on Honeycomb 3.2, the other is the Vizio which only runs on a single processor. Fantastic device that does all that I want and more! If Apple were smarter, they would release a 7 inch tablet to tap into this market. Not everyone carries a backpack or a book bag.

Walmart $50 gift card with A100 purchase = reasonable.
by 4dthinker on August 15, 2011
Pros: Nice size, and far easier to carry than any 9" to 10" tablet. Full andriod 3.2 feature set, and great media capabilities. Better (than 5hr.) battery life with WiFi off. Charges on the same dock as the A500 uses.
Android 3.2 installed and $329 from WalmCons: Wish battery life was longer, but it does as good as any other 7" tablet (Archos) I've tested.
Summary: If you want to try out android 3.2 on a tablet, this would make a good starter. Very capable tablet. Special deals on 10.1" tablets are common, but ...
