  Buggy tablet

  I bought a tablet "Arnova 7 G2" and found the critical bug on the firmware.
  Arnova 7 G2 damages SD Cards filesystem!
  I sent a bugreport to Arnova 25.01.2012 but Arnova doesn't fix the problem and doesn't even reply to the message.
  
  Other disadvantages of Arnova 7 G2:
  1. The minimum brightness level of the screen is very high. Read the book in a dark room is impossible due to pain on eyes.
  2. Menu buttons in the top of the screen are white, and they can not hide. Because of this, using the tablet in the dark is impossible.
  3. After some period ot time a pause/play stops working correctly on all third-party video players (MX Video Player, mVideolayer, QQlayer, Rocklayer, MoboPlayer, VitalPlayer)
  and they do not save the position of the playback.
  4. Version of the built-in browser is outdated and it displays websites incorrectly.
  5. Version of Android with latest firmware is outdated (2.3.1) and can't be updated.
  6. Many games developed for Android 2 doesn't work correctly on this tablet, but perfectly work on my HTC Desire.
  
  DON'T BUY THIS TABLET UNTIL ARNOVA FIX THE FIRMWARE - IT DOESN'T WORK CORRECTLY!!!

  Inexpensive, low-end tablet with fantastic flexibility

  Pros: -cheap!
  -works well
  -does what it's supposed to
  -easy to change firmware/os, etc.

  Summary: Those purchasing this tablet do so because it's a cheap low-end tablet they can use around the house on their WiFi. I personally bought it to entertain my 3 year old with games. I was pleasantly surprised to find out it's me that's reaching for it more often than not, and it works fantastically. Out of the box it's great, and if your a bit tech-savvy, it's fantastic with the custom firmware/os images found online. I can access Google play, and all my favorite apps, YouTube, Facebook, Google +, etc. (which weren't accessible with the "applib" market app that it comes with). A few minutes to upgrade the firmware/os gives you an entirely new tablet. The only down side to this thing is the camera - such poor it's unusable really, if you don't care about that, this is the 7" tablet to buy until the google/asus ones come out.

  Summary: I had the unit for 1 week when it stopped working. The warranty folks who responded with a request for information to set up a RMA number. Over the next month I sent in the same information3 times and still got no response.
  
  Eventually I called them and was told that because I had won the unit in a contest and hadn't purchased it I would have to pay to get it fixed. I think I'll open it up and see if I can fix it first.
  
  The problem seams to be the switch on top. The "ARNOVA" flash screen appears then goes blank. The alarms I set up before the screen went blank still go off. So it is working just no screen

  Bought tablet for mainly Entertainment, it does its job

  Pros: #- Awesome Screen Quality
  #- Cheap but Durable
  #- Works very well
  #- Easy to use
  #- Great Customer support if tablet breaks
  #- Supports higher memory upgrades (which is wonderful)
  #- Easy Firmware upgrades

  Cons: #- Camera is a little fuzzy on pics, but you don't normally buy a tablet to take pictures.

  Summary: Very great piece of technology for all you Android lovers who want a bigger screen and light weight package without hauling a laptop around on your back or side all the time. I believe that this is one of the better tablets to get for under $110 and out performs some of the higher priced tablets out there. If you don't care about the camera on this thing, its a great 7" tablet to mess around with.
