Summary: I purchased mine with a bundled keyboard and I found using this as the tablet dock/charger was convenient and worked very well. Overall, the components (tablet and keyboard)have a quality feel typical of Asus. Battery life was excellent although unmeasured- it appeared I would be getting about 10 hours, at least, as used. Sound was a little disappointing. Volume was below desirable levels, even at maximum, and the quality was "OK"- certainly nothing to write home about. My biggest complaint about the tablet is the RT system itself. While it works adequately to fill in the bridge between smart phone and laptop information and functionality it is still quite limited. I was more than frustrated by the lack of functionality in the mail app. Emptying the contents of the Trash or Bulk folder is not a simple or easy task with RT and this routine task should have been better conceived. The Calendar app is also disappointing since Google has ceased syncing new devices as of Feb. 2013. Microsoft has been slow to address this issue and so, for now, the calendar simply reflected Facebook and Yahoo integrations- which I found of limited value. As many others have said, the App selection remains limited at present. I was surprised to find that even the Samsung Kies smartphone syncing software (I use for my Galaxy SIII) wasn't available for the RT. My recommendation is to pass on this tablet at this time. If you are in need of something that has a work capability I would look at the full Windows 8 option that can install all the software you may want. Alternatively, if the primary reason for getting a tablet is entertainment I would choose one of the excellent new Android tablets available. For the moment, Windows RT is just an unsatisfying compromise between these two purposes.
