The good: As thin as the iPad 2 and even lighter, the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 is the sexiest Honeycomb tablet we've seen. Also, it has a 3-megapixel back camera and a 2-megapixel front camera, and powerful dual speakers.
The bad: The lack of ports on the tablet will be a problem for some and the plastic back leaves it feeling less solid than the iPad 2.
The bottom line: Sleek, sexy, and light, the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 gets as close to the iPad 2 as any Android tablet before it.

Light and easy to use I am just "getting into it".
by mikethaler on May 6, 2012
Pros: Can download most Android Apps. Netflix, Amazon and Barnes & Noble book apps. It's easy and convenient to read books on it and you don't have to turn on a light. For about $40, an adapter lets you expand memory by plugging in USB drive SD card.
Cons: There is no upgrade - yet - to OS 4.0. Supposedly Samsung is working on it.
Summary: I didn't think I had any use for a tablet. When Comcast finally supports Android the way they support the ipad - I'll be watching some on demand ...

Summary: I am not going to get technical. I will though tell you if you are looking for a tablet, this is one that cannot be beat. I am not a Samsung phone user, but this tablet is the best out there. I am very VERY impressed and as I said.......LOVE it.

Absolutely awesome.
by Mergatroid Mania on March 12, 2012
Pros: Amazing display. This display is better than my 46" LCD TV. I'm in awe of it and I wish my TV used the same display. Wireless updates, wireless file transfers, office compatibility, responsive, excellent rendering of webpages.
Cons: No ports. Just the one Samsung proprietary port. If you want to read SD or other memory cards you have to get the "USB Kit" or one of the docs. Also, there's no internal memory expansion. I almost took it back for an ASUS.

Summary: One word to start with: FLASH (I took a Viewsonic tablet back because it didn't support Flash). After using this all over the web I have to ask why anyone would actually not want Flash (other than Steve Jobs said so). I found some webpages are entirely flash and I would basically see nothing with Flash disabled. The battery life was basically about 8 hours while using flash and it will get better as the LiIon battery is worked in. The biggest beef I have with it is that it has no SD card slot. That ALMOST got me to return it for an ASUS Transformer, but I like the Tab so much I decided to keep it.
You can transfer files wirelessly using Kies (a little buggy, but works fine once installed), and there's an app called Allshare (on the Samsung app store) that allows you to stream content from your network to the Tab, or from the Tab to your network or other devices. I really love being able to stream video and music from my Network Added Storage (NAS)to the Tab wirelessly over WiFi. You can also stream from any Windows PCs. The back camera is excellent and rivals my $200 digital camera (also has a flash). Overall I'm pretty happy with my purchase. I just wish it has a memory storage card slot. Avoid the PC version of the Allshare software. All it did on my Windows 7 64 bit system is crash and crash and crash (thankfully you don't need it, just use Allshare on the Tab).
One last comment.
I really wish CNET would stop letting the iPad fanboys write Android reviews. The CNET review actually mentions iPad more times than it does the unit they are reviewing. Just compare it to "other tablets", you don't have to kiss Apple's a$$ so much. That review really turned me off CNET. -
It is fast with Flash and plays HD movies perfectly.

Pros: Great for web viewing.
Great reader.
Great battery life.
Vivid color.
More apps than I will ever use.Cons: No useful documentation comes with this tablet. The model # & serial number is so small you cannot read it. Will not connect with my Belkin N1 wireless router. The camera is weak, most smartphones have better pixel resolution.

It's a good lightweight web-browsing platform

Pros: Quality screen, and solid touch capabilities make web-browsing easy.
Cons: None that I could find.

Summary: It's a tablet. I use it as a portable web browser around the home or office - piggy-backed into local wi-fi. You can do most of your browsing, banking and pricessing that have low to medium inputs required.
It also has quality camera, good sound, motion detectors and decent battery life so is a handy device for catching up on news and events, and browsing your email.
But it's not a notebook, a laptop or a desktop. If you use a keyboard frequently then you are not going to replace any of those devices with this gadget - but that's true of all tablets.
This Samsung is perfect for my needs - but it's not a full periphial supporting computing device. -
I want to sync my contacts need to sync my contacts.
by kevin6 on December 27, 2011
Pros: Navigating a breeze. Still playing with apps but so far so good.
Oh bye the way did I mention with out my contacts this is just another
toy. STOP THE PROPRIOTORY BS AND MAKE SYNCING EMAIL A MATTER OF
COURSE. Not my way or the highway.Cons: Google apps vs. MS. Vs apple equals chaos. Can,t we just all get along!
Never used gmail before now I know why. Outlook anyday.
For some people ther is more than chatting to emai.Summary: Syncing contacts with a new device should not be a job for SuperGeek in
