The good: The Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.7's AMOLED screen provides gloriously deep blacks and superbright colors. The tablet is the thinnest small-form tablet yet and includes expandable memory, impressive games performance, and an IR sensor that turns the tablet into a smart remote control.
The bad: Two-year cellular contracts for tablets still stink, and even if waived, the subsidized $500 price looks like a steal compared with the overpriced noncontract tag of $700 staring you in the face. Also, an HDMI or USB port would have been useful.
The bottom line: The Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.7 delivers a beautiful screen and fast performance but our enthusiasm is ultimately tempered when the price is taken into account.
Pros: - gorgeous colors, crisp display - ICS is fast and efficient - perfect size for portability

Summary: I previously had an iPad 2, which is a fabulous device but the size & weight were too much for my small arthritic hands, and there was no iPad Mini on the market at that time. This Galaxy Tab 7.7 is perfect for my needs. It's lightweight, it has a gorgeous, bright and crisp display and is the ultimate entertainment and travel device. It fits in my purse and is so much better for keeping an eye on work email when I'm out of the office, or browsing for restaurants/stores/info on a bigger display than my phone. And for my favorite entertainment apps, such as Kindle, Netflix & Google Play, it's simple and enjoyable. I've found the battery life to be very good with the help of a task manager, and although I'm on WiFi 90% of the time, the 4G LTE is great when I'm out of WiFi range. The Verizon rep in my local store spent 90 minutes with me, helping me set up email & contacts and showing me how to use certain features and apps, so there was really no learning curve for my new tablet. My experience with the Galaxy Tab 7.7 for the past 4 months has been very positive and I'd definitely recommend the product.
Pros: Light weight Sharp screen Great camera resolution
Cons: No OS support from Samsung or Verizon Terrible battery management Crashes constantly sluggish Hard to reach fonts

Summary: While the rest of the world is on Android 4.0 or higher, this 2012 device is on 3.2 with no customer support notification as of Jan 2013 when a very badly needed update on OS will arrive.
Bottom Line:The Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.7 delivers a beautiful screen and fast performance but our enthusiasm is ultimately tempered when the price is taken into account.
