The DLT vs80e uses a standard DLTtape IV data cartridge and can read cartridges written by DLT 4000 and DLT1 tape drives. Each cartridge provides up to 80 GB of data storage with up to 6 MBps compressed transfer rate. An 80 GB backup can be completed in less than 4 hours.
