A big screen monitor benefits from a great big mouse.

Summary: I've had this thing for several months now. At first, I didn't like it and shelved it.
But, last week I got a 20" iMac. Its screen is sooo big, I found I was wearing myself out with either a smaller trackball or mouse trying to run the cursor all over the huge screen. But this trackball is the perfect answer for the larger monitors. You're only using your fingertips to move the cursor instead of wearing out your thumb (with a smaller trackball) or wrist (with a mousie).
The wireless, I could live without. Like any wireless, it is less sensitive than the wired. And costs twice as much. However, all and all, I like it.

Best USB trackball on market
by on January 12, 2005
Pros: It's the best. Smooth rolling in any direction. Good inertia for moving your cursor across the screen quickly and under control without sacrificing fine movements.
Cons: Scroll wheel feels could be better, but function is still 100% good.

THE BEST YET !
by on September 5, 2004
Pros: I had the original Kensington trackball and thought it was the greatest! This new Model blows it away! No more slippage due to a dirty ball (even slightly sweaty would do it) This thing is silky smooth and meets the surface it is resting on very nicely.
Cons: What to do with all those other mice that don't work!?

overall a good buy
by on June 9, 2004
Pros: Easy to use right or left handed, and easy to switch between the two. Almost as fast as my old logitech, which I love.
Cons: Software conflicts with any other mice, and it's causing problems with my husbands games. It also seems to be rather easily disabled, but a restart quickly fixes that.

Less accurate than a $12 Mouse
by murraypowers on January 22, 2007
Pros: The wheel would be a nice feature if it ran more smoothly
Cons: Inaccurate and sluggish. It doesn't grab well and often takes several clicks to register
Summary: I was willing to spend more for a quality trackball, and hoped this $100 product would be the answer. What a disappointment. It turned out to be less accurate than ...

Summary: I was willing to spend more for a quality trackball, and hoped this $100 product would be the answer. What a disappointment. It turned out to be less accurate than a garden variety mouse. The ball does not move easily or smoothly, and jumps rather than scrolls. The buttons often take several hits to register and the scroll ring is also choppy and grindy instead of smooth. You really have to fight with this thing and you'll be much better off with a cheaper mouse.

Best Trackball for the Mac
by DTDunn on October 3, 2011
Pros: The ball is large and has a smooth responsive feel. The scroll wheel is very useful and can be programmed to go in either direction. The four buttons can be programed any way you want and two button chording gives you six options. The base has enough w
Cons: The three pickups must be cleaned once a week or so (this takes seconds). Kensington actually made the software worse by "upgrading" it. Given the success of this product, I cannot fathom why they would mess with a working formula.
Summary: There are more high-end trackballs available, but they are pricey and the software is PC only. If you have a Mac and want to use a trackball, this is your ...

Trackball/keypad options good; easy to program and use.
by Stephen Goulden on August 12, 2011
Pros: Does what it should, mostly smoothly and at the speed chosen. Being optical, the problem of the earlier TurboMouse getting gritty bits below the ball should not occur.
Cons: Scroll wheel needs to be more smooth; it doesn't seem to have had the same design execution, and feels as if it is on the point of breaking physically

Summary: After my annoyance at finding my old Kensington TurboMouse would not be upgraded for Lion, and trying other option, I swallowed my prejudices and bought the ExpertMouse, which is their latest version of the TurboMouse. It feels just the same, perhaps smoother, and does everything I need it to do.

Summary: Not programable under Vista and Kensington is NOT going to support Vista. Their answer is built in programability in Vista. NOT TRUE!!! For the price you should be able to Program any of the buttons, change wheel direction, and have it behave differently in each application like it did in XP. All you can do is switch right and left buttons. If you have Vista or planning to get Vista - DONT BUY!!!!
