  Finally! A great trackball at a good price!

  Pros: Excellent ergonomics, smooth scrolling (no detents), optical ball means no cleaning. Solid well thought out design. True Plug 'n Play - no software or drivers to load.

  Summary: I've been a trackball user since the 80's and the only one I ever really liked was the A4Tech WWT-USB5. The only problem with that one is that the mechanical rollers would get dirty and wear out requiring frequent cleaning & annual replacement (I bought a case of them!). I often thought it would be nice if they made an optical version. Well, they didn't but Kensington has. The new K72337US is very comfortable to use and the scroll ring is a pleasure. Unlike their other scroll ring model, this one has not detents or "clicks" so it's very smooth. There is no CD provided as there is no special software or drivers required. Plug it into a USB port and start using it - that's it. I picked one up at Fry's on sale for $30 and couldn't be more pleased with it. Finally, I've found a trackball that I like even better than my old A4Tech model!
