Low rating due to poor, non-responsive customer service

Pros: Good performance from earlier version

Summary: I've owned the new V.3 product for over a week and have still not been able to unlock it for use. Customer service is worse than I've ever experienced. They won't commit to calling me back and have suggested that someone will be working on the problem and I should continue to keep trying the unlock process until it works.

Map Software can not be unlocked

Pros: No pros... very poor qulaity.
Cons: Very greedy and dishonest company.

Bad part... the software locks itself after several months. Then the customer support claims its the customer's pc thats the problem and promises to have the "supervisor" call back.
I am sure this is a ploy to force the customer to buy a second license. Why? because no one calls back and there is no reason why Magellan should lock the software after several months!
The original license serial number becomes useless in unlocking the software. Magellan server will not allow a reinstallation of the same license.
Hence, the user can only use it for a few months. Over $100 out the window.
Garmin's software is of very low quality also, but at least it does not require a Internet to unlock it.
I whole heartedly recommend not buying a Magellan GPS or any of their software.
