  Weak software with basic missing functionality.

  Summary: 1. I read that it featured a "dynamic" view so the map looks like the road in front of you. I made the mistake of assuming it meant a 3-d look like you see in nice GPS units for your car. well, it's nothing but a slightly angled view of the map, still looking down.
  2. I had to download a serial port emulator for my EarthMate BT-20 because the software does not have a usb feature!
  3. WORST OF ALL: there is no provision for an ADDRESS BOOK. In other words, U cannot store addresses for future alphabetical recall in a conventional address book. This is a stunning oversight on the part of programmers...maybe they don't know how to operate/drive cars. Maybe they have never used GPS?
  
  I will definitely go back to the vastly superior Delorme produc t, even though it has some bugs, and also lacks a 3-D perspective!
  
  Microsoft really blew it with this software, and their support is bad, also. There was no opportunity to tell them about the lack of an address book and the "feature" they call "dynamic view."

  Summary: Bought the program with high expectations. Worked great for 30 day. Then one day turned my pc on and the program would not run. Called tech support..(don't you love talking to them). Told me the program can corrupt some of your files making the program unable to run. He then proceeeded to tell me Microsoft was fully aware of this and have done nothing to fix it. Sending it back to MSFT for a full refund. What a nice comapnay they are. Went to the Delorme mapping and all seems to be fine. Good Bye MSFT...think I am going to install my free Vista update. NOT!!!!!!

  Summary: A very real street has disappeared from the map (Vine Tree Pl., Tucson, AZ). Pity I have uninstalled the 2005 version - I can live with a 3-year-old (or 10-year-old, for that matter) list of restaurants, but if it is called "Streets and Trips", I'd expect it to at least show streets.
