  Fuel info currently a waste of your subscription fee

  Pros: Could be a great service and make TomTom a leader in the field

  Cons: Same fuel info day after day event hough they make it look like it's new daily information.

  Summary: I bought the TomTom XXL 540 TM for the free map and traffic updates along with the free Safety Camera information. I paid $19 for the annual subscription for their fuel price information which could be a great service. I have owned the TomTom for 3 weeks and the fuel prices reported by TomTom are the same today as the day I paid for the subscription. I've called TomTom and their excuse is that their 3rd party vendor who provides the information is not currently providing updates. Still, Tomtom will accept a customer's $19 for the fuel information and each request that the customer download the new daily fuel information..which has not changes. In the meanwhile you can go to www.gasbuddy.com and get, for free, local fuel prices. Also, Tomtom's Safety Camera information cannot be found in your GPS. But, each day they request you download the Safety Camera information which is free. You appear to get nothing which is costing you nothing. But, they will charge you for the fuel subscription knowing that their information is wrong. Their tech support people are friendly and very quick to anwser the phone. These very helpful people must be getting abused by all the Tomtom customers who are disgusted with worthless services of which some are not free (fuel). Good luck Tomtom you are really dropping the ball on this one.
