  Best tuner I've used with coaxial cable tv input. Love it on Windows Vista.

  Pros: Clearest picture I've seen from a tuner. Really good audio. No line out to plug into sound card.

  Cons: Power button on remote can be set to turn off or not turn off computer. It can't be set to close program.

  Summary: I really like this tuner. I just returned a Diamond brand tuner for Vista and bought this. Excellent move for less money. The picture is clearer than I've seen yet in my experience with a few different brands. The audio is real nice and doesn't do anything out of the ordinary like another brand I know does. And there is no line out to plug into sound card. Zero static. Works perfectly with Windows Media Center with great features. Time shifting works wonderfully and setting up recording for a later date is simple. Synced right up to Comcast, detected all the channels and the television guide is great. I don't even have that on my TV. Only downfall for me is that the power button on top of remote can be set only for computer shut down, computer sleep or nothing. Same as the power button on my computer's box. Would be nice to shut down the program only with one click (like a TV) from my bed. But the remote can be used toclose prgram with a few steps, so no biggie. Love it.

  Waek in the digital tuning aspect (Clear QAM channels)

  Pros: Analog tuner is solid. Support programs for analog good.

  Cons: Digital tuner falls far short. It will ident clear qam channels as there but you won't be able to watch them because of unforced errors or artifacts etc. I had Comcst come out to check signal levels etc and there were NO problems.

  Summary: This is my 2nd product from Hauppauge and the 1st time I have been somewaht disappointed. The tech support had me try 3 different programs of there's (tv tuner software) to no avail. They then suggested I try SAGE (retail) and it was worse. Out of the 150 some clear QAM (digital) it tuned, I can actually watch 7. Out of that 7, one is the TV guide channel, one is the local weather forecast and one is a GOV'T channel. egads. This board has 2 tuners; one analog and one digital. If you are looking for a digital tuner for HD I would advise passing on this one. There is much work left to be done on both hardware and software. For now I will continue using its limited digital tuning capabilites in hopes of software fixes down the road.
  Bottom line: NOT ready for prime time
