  VERY SLOOOOOOOOOOOW! Expensive.

  Pros: Looks cute.

  Cons: Slow, slow, slow. Hard to pull the little thing out of the USB port - too small and the cap keeps coming off. Gets pretty hot. Fear of Reliability because the 4GB model completely failed after 3 weeks of occasional use.

  Summary: A co-worker purchased this 8GB LEXAR drive which I used it to transfer their files to my computer. It was 5x slower than my other flash drives. Plus, it was nerve racking as we wondered when it would fail because I had just purchased the 4GB version of the LEXAR Firefly and it completely failed after only 3 weeks. All my data was lost and unrecoverable. The LEXAR company would not return my requests for assistance. My co-worker wished they had known this before they purchased the 8GB LEXAR drive. If you purchase this drive, you'll find it's slow and you have alot of time to hold your breath wondering when it is going to fail on you. Good Luck.

  Compact Size - Moderate Speed - Case Adequate

  Cons: Moderate speed - no lanyard - lanyard point is not secured to actual drive

  The negative, besides the moderate speeds is there isn't a lanyard and if there was one it is attached to the exterior case, which holds the actual drive. In theory, the drive could be dislodged and lost, leaving just the case. Transcend has a detachable lanyard (secure) that is attached to the actual drive. That way it can be easily removed, but won't come of the lanyard by accident.
  
  Because the lanyard isn't attached to the actual drive, pulling the strings to remove the drive, which helps when the USB port is in the back of the computer or other akward spot, just removes the flash drive case, leaving the drive in the USB port It's not a huge deal, but doesn't make it one of the best drives.
  
  Bottom Line:
  Buy this drive if you are looking for compactness (like if you want it in your pants pocket), but don't mind the moderate speed.
