  Trouble with wireless

  Summary: I purchased recently and had no trouble getting started. Of course, the customer service makes me want to scream, but switching my number over to the V-Phone was not difficult. When trying to use device, I encountered problems with sound related to conversation. This, I surmise, was based on the wireless connection from my laptop. Their tech support was just above retarded and wanted to ship a new device. I was able to work the device on my desktop with a hardwired setup and was again successful on the laptop when I hardwired the connection. I wasted three hours getting it to work, but am now very happy with the function. Just wish I can get it to work from a wireless connection.

  I'll retain the original Linksys Vonage service as that does have reasonable base-level quality
  
  Dealing with Vonage customer support makes you want to pull your hair out. Always 64000 questions unrelated to anything you're calling about. If I have to deal with them one more time I'll cancel everything.

  Summary: jsknight - I picked this up for dirt cheap and still returned it. It's worth a try if you need the portability, but if you are using this at home get the real Linksys-based vonage router instead! Trying to use this from Internet-cafe type connections is quite terrible.

  Voice Quality Poor, Customer Svc Worse

  Summary: Avoid at all cost, voice quality is not adequate for most usses. Low sound, echo, delay and static make use rather anoying. Feedback & echo anoy other users on the call unless unit is on mute. I tried to cancel and was charged for an additional month of service not used and was charged a $40 cancelation fee in addition.
