Summary: I bought my vacuum in July of 2011 and in October of 2012 the suction motor failed. I called customer service and got authorization for repairs. It took a week for the company to ship a return box from Alabama to South Carolina. It took another two weeks before I got my vacuum back with damage done to it. They never even tried to contact me in regards to the original repairs being completed or that it was in shipment to be returned to me. After getting it back damage I once again contacted customer service who said they would send another box which never happened. It took two weeks of calling and arguing about needing to get it returned to the company again but it took another three days before a supervisor returned my calls. I once again shipped the unit back and waited another two weeks to learn that it was shipped back and another five days of working with fedex to be able to get the box. once it was opened the same damage they cause was there and more. I once again called in and argued about sending it back. once again it has taken unreasonable time to get a box to return it and now after several supervisors admitting fault of them causing the damage and it not being the fault of the shipper or myself they are not going to repair or replace the unit. It has taken two and a half months for them to say that LG is not currently manufacturing vacuums and "the only option they have" is to refund what I paid for the vacuum which does not even cover a true replacement cost.

Two stars is being generous. Everything breaks on it.

Pros: The hose extends, S
Suction is great AT FIRST until it clogs even with emptying regularly. The cord is retractable and decently long, It compresses dirt into a brick until the "squeegee in the canister stops working.Cons: First vacuum of this model was replaced within weeks of purchase because motor blew completely. Poor manufacturing, cheap parts that break easily, it is falling apart, clogs easily.

Summary: heating. The clips that hold the hose to the vacuum broke off both vacuums(we bought one and then got a second one to replace it). The squeegee in the canister stops working periodically, the seal on the handle is separating, Sears told me this week that the agitator is broke, the motor wasn't installed properly, the filter case is broken, it whines when I turn it on. Everything on it seems to be breaking. This could be a great vacuum if they train the people who put them together correctly and use higher quality materials. I worry that Since this time I have to send it to LG and not Sears, that like another buyer, it won't get fixed or replaced. These things have a five rear warranty. I wonder if that's just to reel you in.

Consider yourself forewarned!

Pros: Haven't figured them out yet!
Cons: Replacement parts (belt) are practically nonexistent

Summary: I purchased my Kompressor vacuum after reading multiple positive reviews. I received it 2 weeks ago. And, I have yet to use it! We put it together. I turned it on to use it. Immediately, the belt broke. I set off on a three hour store search to find a replacement belt. Not Wal-Mart, not Target, not Home Depot, nor Lowe's carried this brand's replacement belts. I then went to a janitorial supply store which specializes in vacuums. They did not have this replacement belt in stock, and told me they would need to order and it should be a week. I called them a week later, and their supplier didn't have these belts -THEY were ordering from THEIR supplier.
Keep this in mind should you purchase. The complete unavailability of replacement parts -specifically belts. Should you purchase also order belts, too. Not just one belt, but several.
I'm still waiting. -
This is the best vacuum that money can buy
by djff30 on September 30, 2011
Pros: Incredible suction, incredible what it picked up that the old vacuum a Hoover did not.
Cons: Haven't found one yet. Its not a boat anchor, my kids use it fine. It could come with a sexy maid though.

Summary: Incredible suction, incredible what it picked up that the old vacuum a Hoover did not. Easy to use, not heavy like everyone says. My 8 and 10 year old kids are able to manage it well, and we have two flights of stairs. The attachments seem very simple, because they are, but are multifunctional for just about anyjob. I like the bagless part; its a first for us, I just carry the canister outside to the garbage can and drop the brick of dust/dirt into the can without touching anything. Its that easy. The kids fight over this chore now, they think its so cool that they get to see how much it picks up. We have a yellow lab that sheds incessantly, and a beagle that has those short little hairs that seem to stick into everything. The dogs are always on the couch. The hand held brush driven attachment works awesome on the cloth furniture and carpeted stairs. The other end of the hose has a swivel so the vacuum cleaner does not follow you or tip over when you extend the hose far from the vacuum. Very Nice. When in the upright position the floor brush automatically shuts off so you don't burn a hole in your carpet like my wife did with the Hoover...oops. After the first use in our house it sickening to see how much pet hair was picked up, how much sand, and dirt, it was absolutely disgusting to think we were living in this filth. Shop around though, prices on this machine vary widely. We paid about $180 at HHGreg, Sears had a similar price through a third party vendor.

Don't waste your money

Cons: Heavy and difficult to carry up/down stairs, impossible to find parts, impossible to find service for it when it breaks... which it will. Very frustrating when you can't get anyone who can fix it or carry parts and I am in the large DFW metro area. The pe

Pros: No bags, easy to empty, cord retracts.

Summary: Do not buy this vacuum. For $250 it is the worst vacuum I ever owned and the customer service at LG is just horrible. I sent my unit back to them 3 times in less than a year because it loses its suction power and does not pick up anything. They fixed it the first time and told me that if it happened again two more times they would replace the unit. Well it went back the second time and they cracked the handle, never fixed it. Sent it back and said they found nothing wrong. I used it a few more times but had to re-vacuum the same areas with my 9 year old $70 Hoover unit (which still works by the way). In disgust I sent the unit back a third time and guess what....it's back again and they have not found anything wrong with it. You have to be kidding me??????? It will not even vacuum a little piece of thread from the carpet. So back to the "3 times in for repair" statement. As long as they do not find anything wrong when you send it in, it does not count????? Uggghhhhh. Apparently having low suction is not a problem as long a it has some.

Fantastic at picking up pet hair!
by mommaszoo on April 18, 2011
Pros: Great suction (from front and sides) for picking up hair and dirt. Automatic cord rewind. Features different height levels for various carpets, on/off button for roller brush to go from carpet to hard floor. Extending hose for easy reach. Looks nice.
Cons: My only complaints on this vacuum is that is its very heavy, and it is a bit more noisy than previous vacuums I have owned.

Summary: I like this vacuum because it is perfect for removing pet hair from carpets. The dual suction feature (suctions from the front and from the sides) sucks up dirt deep down, picking up dirt that my old vacuum left behind. The automatic cord rewind is very convenient. With only two cons for this vacuum, I would still recommend this to anyone who has pets or who has heavy traffic on their floors.
