Excellent for Dictation

Pros: Easy to use
Nice big buttons
Some extras like noise reduction and Low Cut filter
Records uncompressed
External Mic option
Acceptable music player with custom EQ
Cons: Extremely noisy hollow sounding plastic body
Amplifies every brush or touch or movement while recording
Omnidirectional: Little or no stereo separation unless very close to mic
No rec level adjustments other than LOW/MED/HIGH, loud sounds will clip

Summary: It's good enough, but it's not great. Excellent for dictation, the omni stereo mics do provide a very good way of separating background noise from up-close dictation. Not enough spatial soundfield for large room or environment recording, everything comes out hollow and monaural. A nice external microphone fixes most of the problems I've noted.
